How does this game match the theme?
Our game takes place in a fantasy world where plants have gained sentience and take part in society, as well as the main mystery surrounding the mysterious growth of a Tree-Ent and death of a farmers crops. Without spoiling too much, the greater mystery at hand revolves around a plot to incite wild plant growth on a very large scale.

I enjoyed this a lot! It scratched the Ace Attorney itch I’ve been having. The corn’s appearance made me laugh out loud. It’s seriously impressive you guys did all this in 20 days.
We’re so glad it hit that Ace Attorney sweet spot for you! Your kind words mean a lot.
Thank you for playing and leaving a comment! 🌽⚖️💛

I think this is my favorite entry at this jam!
Things that I especially enjoyed:
- The overall plot and setting of the game. It was so convincing! I totally believed in everything that happened and all the problems that the society in general and the characters in particular;
- The illustrations, most of all Shrubwell himself and the Corn. Adorable!
- How the game gives you time to get used to the role of a judge and gives you various facts and evidence for you to make a decision yourself. You do not just follow the game plot, you play a crucial role in the game plot.
- Clicking on the corn (Corn.)
- How your personality defines your investigating and communicating style (I played a couple of times and found out there are personalities that can, for example, investigate Mana crystals or check the inside of the house. But I wasn't able to notice what the perks of being a lawful (sorry I forgot names of personalities, the ones that do not know about mana and cannot peek inside the house) judge were! Could you please give me some insight? :D)
- How the game is actually long and consists of several parts. Feels like a play in several acts! And the tasks are various and you do not get tired of doing them.
- The corn poster. Flirty!
Things that I want to give some feedback on:
- Texts length. I've played the game a couple (or more, because I couldn't reach the desired ending) of times, and at first it was a bit overwhelming to get through all the texts, expecially during the personality test! There was too much to do at the same time: go through the history of the workd, find my own place in it and shape my attitude to everything that happened. I think it would be a bit easier it the immersion were a bit more gradual or if the personality test would be short and there was another way to go through the world's history, for example. Sometimes the dialogues were quite wordy, but there was no specific reason for it: it felt like if they were 2 times shorter I wouldn't lose that much (it was especially clear before the actual gameplay of the game started, like while grabbing a file).
- Replayability. As there were several personalities and several endings, I tried to play the game several times. It was a bit tiring after a couple of playthroughs :D Especially as it was hard for me to remember how do I get the certain personality :D It would be maybe cool if you play the game not for the first time to have an opportunity to skip some sections, for example. Sometimes I made wrong choices right in the end of the game and had to replay just to change one small thing in the very end x)
- Personalities. As I understood, different ones have different advantages and disadvantages. At first I thought that if I get the information about the real criminal, I would have additional piece of the gameplay (it looked like that because of what my character was saying). But as far as I saw, if I get everything right and explore the mana crystals and the emblem, I would only get additional information in the credits? I was very sad that I couldn't investigate that part too!
- Credits. They look very nice, but I would love to have a possibility to stop them or move them at my own pace as sometimes I wasn't able to read them fast enough or needed some time to stop and think about it :D
All in all, I had lots of fun. Thank you!

What a beautiful submission, awesome job everybody!!! Just from the title (an S-tier pun btw) and cover art I knew I was in for a treat and this did not disappoint. The hand-drawn aesthetic is super charming and each sketch it lovely; I really dig the art direction. I love Shrubwell and I would die for him. The characters all have unique personalities and the writing is great, every character feels authentic, and it was easy to get lost in the narrative of the game without being conscious of the fact that it was a game. The music has bit of a quirky tempo that fits the world really well and I appreciated having different tracks for different scenes. The whole project just feels like each member provided a ton of value and personality to their portion and there's a really nice vibe from the game overall that I think must come from you all being actual friends. The point n click gameplay was actually really engaging too and I enjoyed poking around for clues and interrogating witnesses. Awesome entry, if y'all ever put a full version on steam, reply to this and you'll have at least one sale :)
edit: Also the other comments reminded me about the corn clicking dialogue, which I also found super funny
Thank you so much for playing our game and leaving a comment; it means a lot that the art style and tone resonated with you.
Shrubwell and I are so touched by your loyalty and kind words! ꕥ
You got it right! we are all friends, and making this together was such a fun collaborative process. It’s really affirming to know that those feelings translated into the final game. We’re thrilled you enjoyed the writing and characters too; getting lost in the story is exactly what we hoped people would feel when they played our game. :)

XD this game was so much fun!! I loved the corn comments and then the actual corn that was great. Also, the ending tidbits about the members of the team were great. Awesome game!!!
Thank you!! I'm really glad you enjoyed it :D
Thank you so much! :)
This game was super fun and I made an account just to comment this
Thank you!
I appreciate your kind words! I was the lead for dialogue and narrative design here and I'm really glad some of the undertones I was trying to put through ended up resonating with you. I appreciate all your insights and and look forward to seeing what you produce going forward as well, I like your style.
I really appreciate your comment and how much thought you put into it! It really means a lot. If we're able to, I would love to expand on this world in the future and create more cases with this being just the introductory case for the game! It was a lot of fun to work on.
