okay so this looked interesting but all the ntr arguments had me needing more info, so I read the all the comments and replies that came up in a ctl+f search

from what I can tell you start developing a relationship with her and then find out that she is actively having sex with other guys, even if there is some sob story about her situation it is still 100% ntr and I'm not interested, even if she does stop being a prostitute or whatever the situation is. for me that would just leave a sour taste and the revelation would just have me nope out feeling that it would most likely get worse from there, if you're gonna have that then what else are you likely to include (especially the way the comments describe it happening of sleeping with her, not knowing what she does meaning that she's hiding the fact, and then seeing her come out of a love hotel with some other guy)

especially if what I read about 2 other (vanilla) love interests being removed to accommodate her story is true then it seems likely the story is going to go downhill rather than improve

the main thing to me is how it unfolds, if she intentionally kept you at arms length because of her situation, then it wouldn't be ntr but if she let you close without letting you know then she is intentionally cucking you, whether she wanted to, didn't care, or felt forced to

even if I've misunderstood the depth of mc's relationship with her and it's somehow just a hook-up, it feels off because if she sleeps with the mc without whatever her usual situation involves then it means she sees something special about the mc in which case it doesn't make sense as just a hook-up, and not telling him beforehand is uber mega uncool (aka ntr)

so as far as I can see your rant about it not being ntr is just wrong and you should just own up to what you've made rather than telling everyone it's not what it is, it may not be the focus but it exists and the fact that this very niche, and incredibly divisive genre is included at all should be mentioned, e.g. "this game contains elements of ntr but it is not the main focus, if you can't handle that then this game may not be for you" rather than the way you've currently done so

It's definitely a shaky situation he's created. Also you're comment made me curious enough to redownload and sift through her scenes to refresh my memory.

After redownloading and quickly sifting through some of her scenes. Especially the controversial one. I've discovered this:

The MC's relationship with her starts as a simple friendship, he's nice to her because she helped out his (nonbiological) sister and she doesn't know why as she's been bullied her whole life, mc discovers her dad is a piece of shit so he tells her she can stay the night at his apartment, the two are basically close friends at this point (There's not a single H-scene with her before this point either), she then interrogates the MC about why he's so nice to her, reveals she gets paid for sex because her dad doesn't work, she's paying the bills as well as paying for his severe alcoholism, THEN the H-scene option appears as she assumes the MC only cares about her for sex and tries to coax him into a one-night stand. No matter what you choose, a couple days later she walks out of a love hotel with a guy. Then the MC goes to see her situation for himself and also discovers that her mother died during childbirth.

So it at least gives you the option to say no to her which makes me think some of these people are exaggerating a bit because you DO know what she does before being given the option of having sex with her. Another point worth noting is that saying no to her advances gives you MORE POINTS with her than saying yes. In other words skipping the scene is "better" despite this being a porn game and everyone usually doing the opposite.

I also wouldn't say she keeps you at arms length but as close as you would keep a friend. Then randomly telling that friend a dark secret because you have no idea why they're nice to you.

It's still a very controversial choice to include it in an adult game knowing that EVERYONE hates NTR. I'm honestly just biding my time until the next update to her story so I can come to a conclusion on whether or not to dip out and forget about this game. But yeah, that's a slightly more accurate summary of this whole deal.

so if it's revealed beforehand then it's not as bad as everyone made it out to be and if it's clear that she doesn't trust you when the option comes up then it's not ntr, everyone made it seem like the reveal was a blindside and none of the "it's not ntr" crowd mentioned it (someone might have I was skimming for the most part there are alot of arguments, but if that's the case why was that not the goto defence rather than "but her story"?)

if mc knows everything and it's clear enough she doesn't trust you then it's the typical "saving a girl from forced/coerced prostitution" type story and not ntr, in which case I'll check it out, tho am curious about the supposed 2 characters removed so that she could be added, tho I have no idea if they were just proposed or if they were previously in the game and it was reworked

thanks for a coherent reply rather than most of what I read through trying to work out exactly what the whole thing was

The "2 characters removed" thing is referencing some patreon post a while ago saying something about Yuka (Mc's nonbiological sister) and Eri (Mc's ex) being moved to the side-cast. I believe it's just a rumor by the community that they were benched for Chika. Might end up being true though.

Not really removed just lowered in terms of priority and future scene count for some reason.

that's honestly a huge relive some the comments made it sound like the author benched 2 already established LIs to make room for Chika's story, which for me would have been a huge turn off for the game cause while I'm not a huge fan of Chika's story the other character definitely make up for it IMO

no because the english use of the ntr tag is for when an anime/manga inspired media contains cuckoldry and you can't cuck someone when there is no relationship, sharing is generally preferred as opposed to netorase (which I've seen shortened to nts to make a distinction from ntr) since there's no confusion with ntr when that's the case and sharing requires a proper relationship, atleast fwb, otherwise it's either prostitution or a casual one off hookup neither of which would count as even sharing.

I would not count the relationship described as one close enough to consider sharing since she doesn't trust you, I might change that opinion once I actually get around to playing it

I will agree vanilla sounds like false advertising tho
