Kino backrooms survival horror kart vs dead kid ghosts at 3AM (the sewer level gave that kind of vibe).

Collisions are wonky - I got stuck on them too many times. Also AI is too strong even on lvl0. Models are pretty cute though.

Pause menu doesn't pause.

Got stuck in walls and had to stop moving to not get stuck.

Didn't manage to get very far.

Very cool and promising start. Would love custom controls because (personally) I hate the controls right now. Also the Q button to stop everything doesn't seem to be undoable.

I never played the original or remakes of CTR, but it felt odd that hopping wouldn't always lead into a slide. Not sure if bug, but posting it anyways.

This is great! The core controls seem really great. Both tracks are cool designs, too, I liked the mushrooms. My only surprising bug was when I took too long to press the up arrow at the start, and then the engine turned on but I didn't move.

thanks. there is a mechanic that you can start with near-instant acceleration if the lights go white while the velocimeter is going up, maybe this is what happened

The game is promising, I like the art style. The number one thing I would improve is the engine sound effect. The noise the engine makes at full speed is really annoying.

for whatever reason the graphics are INCREDIBLY jittery. like going up and down constantly, it's hard to look at.
i genuinely find the arrow keys to accelerate to be counterintuitive, i seem to recall of having the same complaint with planet rally. for keyboard only games, i would expect the arrow keys to handle steering, and then the various actions to be set on zxc etc
the sound effect when you reach full speed is essentially unbearable and it never stops.
i really like the quick boosts, you captured how ctr does them very well

thanks, I was able to fix the jitter before more people tried the game. still, half of the download was from the first build, unfortunately

CTR was the superior kart racer of the PS1/N64 era. On your build here... I can accelerate with the analog stick of my controller, but can't do anything else. So please, add full controller support
