Great music and really cute art. I thought I was the person on the right this whole time since the UI is on the right LOL. Gameplay is very confusing at times and I find it unnecessarily long. Overall great job!
i might be a bit too dumb to figure this pokemon combat out lol, are you supposed to just spam basic casts because they seem to have the highest damage to mana ratio?
the art is really awesome though! also got the examiners judgement bug at the second fight unfortunately
thanks for the feedback! you’re meant to preserve your mana so you can wait to clash when the enemy attacks, try preserve you mana so you have the advantage and can catch your opponent off guard
Nice concept, I knew a spellcasting 1-on-1 would be made somehow. I liked the execution as well (although it took some getting used to). The gameplay got very nuanced (although I only made it to the third fight). I wish the fights were shorter so I could have more time to iterate. Faster gameplay is general is required (probably done by increasing mana regen and decreasing max health?)
The game could definitely use more polish with the UI as I couldn't change spells properly, and using the spells / rolling the die felt pretty static.

I loved how each magician had their own spin on the overall theme. Great contribution to the overall ambience of the game.

I love the concept! The art is so expressive and endearing, tying the theme together. The music also does a great job putting you into the scene and laying down the chill vibes. Everything also runs pretty smoothly, although I had a but of a bug where all my cards turned into examiners judgement after failing to the second guy twice. I think this idea has a lot of potential if the cards are expanded on to be a lot more complex and imaginitive!
