Became a legend in the 19th period!

It was quite interesting to play, the only thing, as you mentioned, is a bug with the pictures, after the end of a period and the beginning of the next one, the game freezes, so the only way to continue playing is to reload the game after each period and play one period per page refresh.

There is a visual bug with the truncated list of actions - the last item is shown somewhat truncated, some sections have a scroll and are displayed well.

There is also a bug with employee training, when the employee has reached the maximum level in terms of characteristics (200), the training button is available further, money is given for training, the employee's level increases, but the characteristics remain unchanged.

I really liked the texts of strangers I met during my vacation - did you write them yourself or did you get them from somewhere? I was especially amused by Rico - the delivery man, he reminded me of Rico the penguin from Penguins of Madagascar - just as crazy :D.

It's cool to see how much a team with a musician, designer, developer can accomplish - this is a good example of the fact that there are only 24 hours in a day and you can do much more in a team than alone, no matter what your skills are :).

The music and graphics were nice, the music was perfect for this game.  The music was not to be excluded, which indicates excellent harmony and good quality, as were the graphics, I especially liked the scooters for calculating revenue (by the way, I reached a billion without selling any of the businesses, but only by buying new ones, the last one I bought was the most expensive :)).

I think multiplayer where you would compete with other business owners is not a bad idea if improved :).

Well played, congratulations!
It was fun, especially texts from strangers ;).

P.S.
For the UI interactive parts do you use Phaser plugins for UI or something else?

What a review, thank you so much! 19 periods to be rank 1 is a really great!

Thanks for all the feedback, I’m taking notes and I’ll fix things after the jam (good catch about the level cap, but I think it might just be a display bug!).

Actually, I was working alone on the project, even if I got a lot of help from GPT-4o,  to learn the right structure to use, debug (there were a lot of bugs), and create images (then I edited/touched them up in Figma/Photopea). Music artists are credited in the description ;)

As for the "confidants", I wrote the text myself and then got help correcting it, because my English is pretty simple. I wanted to make the relationship deeper in the game but time was against me!

Thanks for the suggestion about multiplayer! I think I’d need to make the game a bit more complex first, because right now it’s pretty simple and it could get boring over time (I simplified it a lot for the jam and for debug issues).

For the UI, I used the official React + Phaser template: React handles the interface, and Phaser only takes care of scenes and game logic (https://github.com/phaserjs/template-react).

Oh, so it's only you but with GPT-4o :), I also planned to try working with neural networks, but there was no time for that, so I went the proven path :), and I also wanted to collaborate with musicians, but unfortunately I finalized the game right before the deadline, so there was nothing to voice by now :D.

If I understand correctly, you found musicians at this jam? Maybe on Discord?

If you are the author of the lyrics, then I take my hat off to you - very cool lyrics! I really resonated with these stories! And when it comes to reading them, I myself partially used a translator :D.

Oh, thanks for sharing what you worked with for the UI part! I liked how it looks in the game, so I think it's safe to use it :)

On itch.io you can find game assets here : https://itch.io/game-assets

There are lot of artists, that can give their work for your projects. You can buy and/or attribute them in your game!

Thanks again :D
