Hey thank you for making this game. Never played/saw a visual novel before! The visuals are great and the music as well. On point the music could improve upon (unless you did it on purpose to create a certain glitchy sound) is looking out for clipping. That's when the audio signal extends beyond the limits and you get that glitchy clipping sound. You can use compression to get rid of it or just accept the music isn't very loud and turn up the volume
Thanks for playing the game ^^
yeah we noticed the clipping too but didn't really know what to do about that during game jam
thinking that maybe it was about memory leak or lag or something because how hard coded the game is
I'll take note about the compression. I hope it can fix it ^^
No problem! I was thinking, you are looking for a limiter in your DAW (audio software). It is a bit different from compression, but should fix the clipping 100%
Lovely visuals and music! Very pleasant game. Would play a part 2 any day :)
Could be a very chill and different story telling tool.
Thanks for playing the game ^^
I'm really glad you liked it XD
enjoyed the bit of choreo and movement going on during the gameplay! was uncertain when the game ended but the narrative was very nice and quaint
Thanks for playing the game ^^
I agree that there's no clear sign to tell that the game ended. Will need to add it later
thanks for the feedback XD
The game creates a nice sense of relaxation for me. The only thing I’d wish for is a bit more feedback on whether I did well or not. Great game!
Thanks for playing the game XD
Ok, I'll try to reconsider that ^^
Thank you for the feedback XD
Really cute & aesthetic rythm game!
Some points you could add :
- labels like "perfect" "good" "miss" when you hit a beat
- telling the user when to press stuff in menus
- giving a "you won"-like message when you get to the ending screen, with the ability to return to menu & retry playing
The curve mechanic when the heart line started moving was also really cool!
Lovely experience <3
Playing this game felt like I was getting hypnotized into a trippy dream. The feedback on hit and miss should be more pronounced. Would love to play a version with more gameplay and narrative content
Thanks for playing the game XD
yeah maybe need to add something simple label like "Perfect", "Good", "Miss" instead off relying on fading circle size thing.
Thanks for the feedback
I hope we will have time to update the game later XD
There are many things that we plan to do at the beginning but decided to create only 1 level for game jam
This was fantastic! Great work, lovely art and music.
Thanks!
I really liked it! It took me a bit to figure out if I was on beat, I wish the visual feedback was a bit more obvious, but other than that I thought it was a nice little game with really great vibes.
Thanks for playing the game XD
Yeah I think the note could be more opaque to make it more clear.
and maybe adding some visual effect animation when miss or good
need more time to implement that :"D
thanks for the feedback XD
I really enjoyed the game! The concept of an educational music game combined with inspired artwork gives much potential of evolution. It was a pleasure participating to the project. Thank you guys.
Thanks for the comment XD
I really love this game! the vibes are really good and the music is even better! i got really confused on the ending. i wish you could add like a text that says you won.
Hi, thanks for playing the game ^^
Glad to hear the feedback XD
Yeah maybe adding an ending screen or something
to let player know that the game ended is important
I sometimes forgot that some rhythm game have
surprise notes at the end :"D
With ending screen at least the player can know
and relax that they already completed the level
