Loved the black and white visuals! It was also very challenging. I really liked this one.
This is a fun little precision platformer with some great levels and a simple art style that's super easy to pick up and start! It's pretty fun to play and reminds me of an old Xbox 360 game I loved growing up that I can't remember the name of. My issues come in with the feel overall. There's 0 feedback to anything you do making it feel lifeless. When you jump there's no squash n stretch, there's nothing when you die aside from the camera sliding back, and there's nothing when you open doors. It just kind of has that less alive feeling when you're just a sliding cube. The background music is also driving me nuts! It's the same 4 chords in every level until you beat the game, which makes it so annoying to focus when you're stuck hearing the same thing forever and ever. A slight variation would be nice. I also noticed a handful of possible bugs? Such as when you time out in level 2, if you already got the checkpoint and die again you go back to the checkpoint and skip the entire beginning. Also if you hold a direction and spam jump your character freaks out and starts climbing the wall. Other than that it's a pretty solid platformer that does it well!
i was thinking of adding game juice just i didn't know how to i tried but i took me 8h and done nothin so i thought lemme finish the UI and game atleast but abt level 2 bug idk why i forgot to but the new code for the scene so i just had a diffrent code for level 2 might fix it abt the song it's rushed i made it like in 5m bc i was gonna sleep and i thought i wouldn't wake up in time ( i did not wakeup in time so i was correct) and abt the movement i really can't change it bc of
fkcnatleast you knew it was meant to be hard!Simple visuals but very juicy all the same. I really love the soft, bouncy jumping sound you chose. Currently, if you have reached a checkpoint but run out of time, you can die to be sent back to the checkpoint instead of the start of the level. Overall quite fun!
i didn't know how to do a great checkpoint system mostly bc of my engine
Pretty cool game, even if I'm not very good at precision platformers.
It would be nice if returning to a checkpoint also turns the time back. Otherwise, after 1 or 2 deaths, I restore at the checkpoint, but there's no way I can actually finish. There's also no option to quickly restart (you have to quit to the menu).
Also, on the second level, it seems like it's fairly random as to whether you get through the gap at the top after crouching.
Great game and good level design. The visuals, while simple, look really clean too. My only issue is that I find the keybind for crouching a bit awkward to use with WASD (also crtl + w, s, and d all work in browser). It feels better with arrow keys, but as someone who's more used to WASD controls, it'd be nice to have an alternate key that feels better with it. Good job on this!
