Except… nope. Japanese devs have been making customizable otome games for years—games that allow gender choice, nonbinary MCs, and even female love interests. Are you gonna tell Idea Factory, Koei Tecmo, and Voltage that they’re wrong about their own genre? Go ahead, I’ll wait.
