Oh man I had such a blast playing through this game! Once again, congrats on finishing Loving Decays, I can tell that you worked hard on this and you have something amazing to show for it :D I love Chao’s new design and all of the illustrations were super nice! The visual direction of the game is so cool and I appreciate a strong theme! (with the flowers, the pink, the speckles 👀)
I’m also blown away by how introspective some of the thoughts of the MC are. It’s not easy to write characters of different walks of life with such depth and detail, but it’s like I’m literally inside the mc’s mind with how expressive your writing is.
I was also kept in suspense for a good chunk of the story, the tonal shifts are so natural and unraveling the mystery had me scouring the different endings while on the edge of my seat for more answers hahaha.

I also really liked how you censored the faces, I’m not sure if this is the intention but my way of interpreting it was that it was a way to foreshadow Owen’s death in ending 3 (since our first time seeing it was on Jane’s corpse) and the flower being over the MC themselves in the photo strip was a reference to Chao comparing them to the heart’s undertaker in the previous scene. 👀
Also it was really interesting to find out the history between Chao, Jane, and Owen. I really just thought the animosity between them was simply jealousy LOL but was surprised to find out how deep the truth really went!
And then wow. The endings. Ending 4 blew me away with how well you portrayed the depths of obsession, not just with chao but with mc too. You did a really good job with building up the mutual codependency dynamic all the way to the point of no return hahah.
But I also did really appreciate ending 3, the wavering in MC’s resolve and the realization that they could never turn Chao in felt like a realistic progression, added with the action/ high-stakes (I was waiting for chao to swoop in lolol), and then the lingering dread as they continue their life together, so many yummy layers!
This is a genuine masterpiece, and I’m really looking forward to your future works! (Hehe I also shot you a dm over on Twitter if ur ever interested in collabing someday!)
