A really nice base for a game, with gorgeous pixel art. Very nicely done!

A point of feedback: Those beautiful attack animations make the combat and movement feel a bit slow and sluggish, because the player has to wait for them to finish. Maybe you could allow the game logic and inputs to proceed in the background while the animations are still running?

Loooooove the little frog's jumps! Very cool to post a demo even if you didn't finished, for a first attempt it's a very good draft! Hope you'll enjoy continue your gamedev journey!
I would say as feedback, I was very much exepecting to see every interaction done by the WASD inputs. Was very surprised to go on the same tile as the enemy and took a while to understand I have to actually click on them. Same goes with the chest, I tried to click this time but learned it was on E. I think if you do continue, having a unified inputs would help a lot both for readability but also for design space! Wish you all the luck!

Hey, appreciate for your  feedback!
Yeah, we have all these fixes in mind, just didn't have enough time to fix everything. I will post a new version these days, with a lot of fixes and improvements, as a separated post-jam version of game.

This game looks great. I think you guys have real talent. I hope to see it finished some day

As someone who has been making games for years, I must say WOW at how well you guys have done for a first game! My first games were bad enough that I've hidden them away from the light of day... but despite the incompleteness of this one I see so much style here. Really loved the pixel art and the little cauldron guy was the bestest lil guy (kinda reminds me of chester from Don't Starve), music was nice too (though end of the loop is too obvious). If you guys wanna keep going with dev (and I recommend you do cause its an awesome hobby), try cutting down the scope of your next project. The beginner attitude is to want to make the next open world roguelike with crafting and 60 million other mechanics... Instead boil your ideas down to one core game loop and try to execute that core loop as well as you can. Polish it to perfection with animations and sounds and music and playtesting. You'll get better over time then go and make the next big indie blowup game. Best of luck guys, and keep at it!

Thanks, I appreciate your feedback!
Yeah, true, we were too ambitious and didn't have a good plan at the beginning, but we're still excited by all the experience we've gained and ready to keep working on the game after the jam.

It was a hard 7 days of development. Due to lack of experience (first attempts in game development) we spent a lot of time working on a basic systems. The level generator was rewritten, I think, 3 or 4 times xD, so we didn't even finish half of the game we wanted to submit. Current functionality includes moving around procedurally generated levels, turn-based fights with monsters (but the main character doesn't have health), looting, and making some potions with a cauldron (but no use for potions). We really want to make a great game, finish it after the game jam and release it.
