in theory, the game should be able to be run in steamdeck via steam's proton.

right now, i'm downloading the demo through itch app and will add it as a nonsteam game to steam library and in the preferences select run with compatibility tool "proton Experimental".

i've done this with many other games so far and others have already confirmed that it works for almost all titles on Arch Linux (which the SteamOS is based on).

So maybe all you might need to do is to provide (thoroughly tested) instructions on how to do that.

The problem is not proton, the problem is that SD simply not enough strong to handle the game, and i would have to develop another version of the game with reduced textures/meshes/effect quality, so as in the case of other games which has SD version. For that i would need more developers to work simultaneously on the SD version. ( which i dont have )

Might after the release.

tested it a while and it works just fine on linux mint. i can't see any reason why it shouldn't work just as good on steamOS/Steamdeck.

As i said in my previous comment, SD hardware is not enough to run the game properly, and i dont have enough dev to work on a separate SD version.

Do you have an AMD or NVIDIA GPU or do you changed something in the Proton config? I'm asking, because the game runs horrible on my AMD GPU Linux Box, which could be related to DX12. Usually DX11 games run way better with it, but this game seems to have only DX12.

(1 edit)

i am using the "nvidia-drivers-570-open" with my 2070 and "proton experimental" in steam. nothing else.

but sadly it is not running on high fps. would need to turn down graphics or resolution too much.
