I loved it. Really ambitious. I like the take on a wizardry-style gameplay.
Impressive what you made within a week. I would love to see what this could be with more time for development in terms of polish, story more variety etc.
An example of polish would be letting the player see what the skill does before using it during combat.
This was a nice experience. I really liked the idea and the art. The game is on the harder difficulty and it really needs some balancing especially for the later enemies. I think you need to add more free items which you can find in the levels and raise the amount of money you get by selling the items. This way you simultaneously stimulate the player to explore more of the levels and also making it easier to improve your skill so you can have a chance fighting the harder enemies. I
Solid game! Love the artwork. Difficulty is pretty up there, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. I did go my entire first playthrough only being able to catch the first two types of ghosts though. Whenever I encountered other types (which was only twice), I didn't have the health or items like acid that one would need to take them on. To conclude, very cool concept, and I absolutely plan on playing until I catch 'em all.
Technically competent, visually impressive, and strongly on theme. Just lacking clarity in a few places (for example, is it possible to sneak up on an enemy and get the first turn?). Regarding the commenter that said the enemies dodge "everything," I suspect that it's hyperbole. Dodges are frequent and the difficulty is high, but I feel like that's on brand.
Art is cute, but gameplay seems extremely in favor of the enemies, which makes it seem impossible to beat even the 3rd one without a lot of grinding. Having to pay gold for the restraints required as part of the objective feels awful, and so does having to buy an upgrade before the first floor to prevent losing to it.
I wish I could have seen the art for the 3rd and onwards enemies but I did not want to spend time grinding.
