Liked the look of the art the gathering was slow but wasn't to slow. I couldn't seem to figure out how to eat my fish when I was trying to cook them. But good.

This was cool! I really liked the artwork, it looked really nice! The atmosphere with the sound effects was really great especially in the gathering resources phase. I couldn't really work out how to place things in the tower defence section but the enemies seemed to keep thing anyway so I managed to survive the night :D Nice work!
Not a big fan of being patient, but artwork is very cute and nice concept. Got spooked when I first tried it.
The graphics are amazing! The water effect, the lighting at night, the oil painting look to the game. All of it really solid stuff!
I wish there was more gameplay too it (totally wasn't expecting the night part btw) but otherwise fantastic!
Really good idea and graphics, the gameplay is really cool as well, idk how to eat but the game still awesome :D
congrats on finishing it
Awesome that you did everything by yourself in this short amount of time. I read that you wanted to keep instructions to a minimum and I think it worked out really well, because as a player you tried several things to figure out how to survive. It would have been great if there'd be a bit more feedback, especially with the fish at night (was it possible to eat it? My player always said he was hungry) and the enemies.
Also the water shader was really cool!
Thank you for the feedback! I want to make a feature complete version in the future based off of the feedback. And I looked into the player always saying they’re hungry thing and it seems to be that the threshold for the character complaining might be too early so I will definitely tweak that. In the future I’d like the game to provide more auditory and visual feedback to the player.
I’m happy you liked my shader. It honestly took me more time than I should have let it but I thought it would be really cool :)
I really liked your little game. Expèecially the art style but the mechanic was nice too.. even tho I didn't understand how to eat the fish xD
If possible I would like to ask you how did you create that water effect, if you're willing we can talk about it on Discord :)
Thank you for playing! Ya feedback for actions is something I was forced to sacrifice due to time since I work on the weekends. After the jam rating is done I plan to make a feature complete version of this game based on feedback and my cut ideas. (I initially wanted a large resource collection map with randomized locations)
And I’d absolutely love to share how the shader works!
Thank you! I spent a lot of time on it so I'm glad you noticed :) I'm hoping to make an even better water shader in the future! Would you be willing to give me feedback on the gameplay? It was my fist time making a game for either of those genres and I'd appreciate hearing about how I can improve :)
It was fun to light up torches to protect shelter. But I didn't understand how to eat fish and it would be nice to have more feedback for other actions. So the main idea is great, but gathering resources is repetitive and can be boring. I think it would be better to make a big map with randomly spawned resources.
That was the original plan actually. A large random map. But since I work on the weekends I wasn’t able to achieve half of what I wanted. But thank you for your feedback. I’d love to make a feature complete version of this game in the future so it’s nice to know others think the main idea is good :)
