- I really enjoy the time and effort put into balancing this type of game. My overall gameplay experience was nice until I was utterly overran and my forest lost which happened in a few minutes of starting. My favorite tower was the squirrel in a tree because of how cute it looked. The overall pixel art was well done and very detailed. Suggestions: - I would love to see a tutorial of some kind just because it is very hard to know what to do right when you are first starting. - Maybe add enemies in a wave based format and add a endless mode with how it is now for a no delay challenge type.

A strategy game where you grow a forrest in order to close corruption portals while fending of enemies that try to eliminate the forrest.
Please explain how your game fits the theme:
The forrest is the weapon and uses its spirit essence to summon plants and animals to aid.

I was hooked on this game instantly so very well done! I wasn't a big tower defense person but oh boy I can see myself playing this for hours and trying to find the best way to manage this forest. The art is well done and the music was pleasant and would be cool to hear a whole soundtrack of the same vein while managing this little forest. it could be just be me but I couldn't see an active counter for spirit essence. I saw the forest health bar in the top left but if I didn't miss it seeing and knowing the number of essence I gathered can help with planning. Overall I really enjoyed this game and great work on your jam entry!
Thank you so much for your kind words! The counter in the top left is actually the spirit essence. I got a lot of small improvements ready for an update after the jam ends.
This is a fun tower defense game. The enemy sprites were very nicely done. I like the use of mushroom patches to collect resources, that's a clever thematic touch.
Hey I made a strategy game too!
Very cool tower defence! I love graphics music and overall game feel. Very smooth and pleasant.
Some feedback:
1. It's a bit tedious to navigate the map. I'd appreciate having a camera zoom by mouse scroll
2. Difficulty curve is descent for the first 5-7 minutes. But than as soon as I stabilised all attack directions, I could simply spam my forest around portals and knock them out one by one. That felt imbalanced, I would be glad to have more challenge
I really like this game and I would play it again!
So I guess there's a bug in the game which allows to spam trees wherever
(trying to upload a screenshot, not sure if it'll work)
There actually is camera zoom using mouse wheel. Maybe the max zoom isn’t far enough. Balancing was a challenge the whole jam for me, it could use some work. As for the bug, I thought I fixed it but I guess not. I’m not sure why it happens as I can’t reproduce reliably…
Thank you for playing :D
The bug doesn't happen right away, but it appears after ~5 minutes of playing pretty consistently
Oh yeah, now I found how to zoom, my bad ^^'.
And yeah, this zoom limit is not enough for me as I'm a big lover of a really high bird view XD
Very nice game! I love strategy games and playing for quite a while. I had fun understanding the mechanics and figuring out which elements/positioning would work out well. Good job!
I like this!! Maybe it would be nice if there were a way to remove things as well? I had a bunch of mushrooms and everything else got killed and I couldn't place any new ones where my mushrooms were :[ Really enjoyed the mechanics overall
Oh no, mushrooms shouldn’t block building anything. I’ll look into it once the jam is over. Thank you for playing :)
Very nice and polished game, I really like strategy/tower defence games, mixing it with fantasy/nature theme is a win for me.
