Thank you so much for your  feedback! Definitely will be continuing to expand on the gameplay and learning programming!

I am a sucker for typing games and this pretty much scratches the itch. It took me a moment, but I was ready once I understood how to send the files. The UI and art very much match the mood you were going for in your GDD. The palette was so pleasing for me. I didn't expect that the watchful eye would stay closed if I just stacked the break button.  I was expecting 30 seconds only and having to gain more money to continue taking breaks.  I would love maybe more additional timed or other pressures to add more  juice to the game. If that makes sense.  Thank you for submitting  such a neat game. Please keep creating!

Thank you for trying out my rough prototype!

(1 edit)

The gravity and platform placements felt just right and ,as someone who is bad at puzzles and platformers, I found my ability to avoid the eyes and platform very smooth. I wasn't able to decode the 2nd puzzle, though, I couldn't find any clues within the game to help me.  I wasn't able to reach far but with what I played it was great work.

Thank you for playing, commenting, and enjoying the vibes! Definitely expanding on the creep factor in future iteration of the game.

Thank you so much for playing and commenting!  There are definitely plans on expanding on this proof on concept. I have a lot of rewriting to do. Lol

This game was fun to play. Haven't really seen anything with mechanics like this before but I think it is pretty clever. I couldn't pilot the drone well to save my life but I got on okay thanks to the reset button. Moving the props was a little difficult thanks to my depth perception but I eventually got it. Unfortunately the tab closed in the middle of my game and looking below I see it was the ctrl w issue. Otherwise, clever job and keep going!

This game was difficult to get a hang of but that's because I'm terrible at rhythm games. The art and music are well done. Nice job with adding the latency adjustment it helped a lot when I was trying to play along with the beat. Did have a problem where the game thought my wasd keys were movement keys and vice versa. I tried to just move a couple of times ignoring the dance and it would dance or I would just try to dance with wasd and it would move.  Keep up the great work this game was a lot of fun!

Great job on the art in this game it is so is so cute. It took a few retries tries for me to trace the shapes and I got as far as the circle. I drew along the circle around five times and lose every time.  I may suggest 2 things to help the player. 1. An indicator to know that you are drawing and where you are drawing. 2.  I read some other comments just now and it seems like a pen tablet works so it seems like it requires more precision than a mouse. Maybe a bit of forgiveness around the areas where you calculate the shape as being a successful draw.  Otherwise, this game has a lot potential and I hope y'all keep up the good work!

I love this spot the difference game!  The variety in differences was good and honestly some of them escaped me really well so I enjoy the challenge.  Looking at your GDD I see that you prioritized mobile view and want it as a casual play game and I think you did an excellent job because when I played this I was thinking how great this would be to do a bunch of levels or challenges in this in my downtime. Great work y'all.

This was a very cool game experience. I loved trying to figure out which reaper would  be good for each soul. The art was well done. I wasn't quite sure if the goal was for the scale to be on the yellow or red side or was it supposed to be even. I did get the reaper's dialogue on my third or fourth soul that let me know if I did okay but would love more visual/audio feedback so I know what  progress I'm making or how good or bad I'm doing with certainty. The mood in your game is palpable and well done. The animations well done. The upgrade system is pretty easy to comprehend. Overall, great job and keep up the great work!

Actually, I just read your GDD. Thumbs up for your plans. It'll be very cool to see your full vision.

First of all: this project isn't too weird at all! The art is done very well and I had a lot of fun trying to figure out which combinations go well with each other. It feels like a lot of fun and honestly if you wanted to add more variances and make it bigger with different daily/show requirements that would be cool as well.  The host text was a fun read and your animations for the different rooms and tasks were so fun. Keep up the good work and always be a little weird.

Thank you so much for the kind words and thank you for playing. I didn't have much time but wanted at least a couple of cute animations to add a bit a personality for such a short experience so I'm glad you liked them!

Really enjoyed playing the puzzles in this game! Appreciated the  sfx feedback on all the actions such as correct planet placements, button presses, and completing levels.  The puzzles I was able to do with the time I had were very satisfying when completed and the tutorial was so well done. It didn't like babysit but made everything clear.  This would be great on mobile or any market imo. Keep up the great work!

Thank you so much for playing! Pepperoni is pretty much the best little guy, thank you.

This game was so fun to play, personally. The art was really well done. Loved the mini games. (user error made me terrible at the joystick. lol). I can see this game as a fully fleshed out game for sale on whatever platform you want, honestly.  Ya'll have all the essential elements down and can add whatever you want and get silly with it. As a personal preference, I loved the humour in the news headlines and it would be cool to see that personality sprinkled more throughout other parts of the game.  Keep up the good work!

Thank you so much for playing! Yeah, I didn't really expect to meet the deadline but I turned 7  game days into one day and said let's just get something working. It so great hearing your complement because I was happy it just wasn't crashing everywhere.  Lol. Don't worry somehow I'm emotionally attached to Pepperoni as well, and I will have to  do him justice.

This game was so nice and calming, honestly. A little bird watching does a soul good until the gov't makes you have to move spots! The art was super cute. It did have trouble when I caught multiple birds in the binoculars but nothing series since so many flew by I can catch them in my journal again. I love that the binocular shot is a freeze image so you can admire the birds. I can see this having multiple levels and environments in the future with different environments if you wanted. There was a tiny problem in one of the runs where it wouldn't let me get to the alert. I tried clicking the red bar, pressing j, etc. Eventually I was able to open and close the journal a couple of times and flip through the pages so I can accept the prestige. Mostly likely user error but wanted to let you know. Keep up the great job!

Thank you so much for playing! Yeah sometimes the dance of the heart (and definitely not me not setting up the sprite  walking animation quickly) is what keeps the darkness away. Lol.  You did make me realize I forgot to put a movement prompt in so I am adding that to the task list today.

Thank you so much for playing! Yes, we are planning longer battles in a future of the game and I'm so glad you enjoyed the writing. Hard to do something good in a limited time so I'm smiling ear to ear right now.

Oooh you are right. It would be a difficult balance especially in  2 weeks. Ya'll did very well <3

Great work on this game! I enjoyed every moment playing. The artistic style is on point and sfx is chef's kiss. I played til I failed and 3k something. I can see you making this into a longer game  with jokes and change ups on how choosing where the ball is, etc etc etc... You did a really great job and pls keep making games. Good work.

Short, sweet jam game. As stated before the jumping felt a bit off. The art is is super cute and I love the textures in the background art as well. The scrolling  sky seems to glitch when I jump after talking to 2 and if I jump on a moving platform it does do a weird bounce. Great work on  your jam game and keep going!

Played several rounds of this game and it was a lot of fun. The timer felt a bit too fast to ask more than maybe one and a half questions when factoring the processing for the skeleton to answer. You gotta be very fast in order to get above three answers. The art and music are well paired. The vibes are there and I can see this being a full finished game maybe even with narrative in the future? Great work on this jam game. Please keep creating!

Thank you so much for sharing and playing our jam game! It is much appreciated!

Thank you for the s3 community love, Zhemma! I love turned based games so much too even though it was such a short time period to try to tune it well I'm so happy we got to fit it in. I'm glad you enjoyed the monsters. They were the quickest, what would a kid with imagination grab/ have ideas. Lol

Thank you so much for playing our game and the s3 love, cabbage!

Thank you so much for your feedback and playing our little jam game!  Yeah my partner will definitely love hearing how much you like the combat because we definitely did stretch it by adding that. But it was a fun challenge. <3

Thank you so much for playing our game! I'm glad some of the writing came through in such a short game/time period. <3

Thank you so much for playing and reviewing! We definitely have plans to extend gameplay so the quality extends there as well!

No problem! Please keep making games! <3

I love the parallax, the music, the art, the vibes. Ya'll did a  great job in making such a complete feeling game in the short amount of time of the game jam! The instructions were easy to follow and it was challenging even when I got a hang of it.  This would be a fun mobile game if you ever felt like going into that region as well. Overall a fun entry and keep going (from a fellow husband wife team)!

Love the art and style of this game! The puzzle gameplay was awesome and challenging but once you understand the mechanics it was so good. The boss rush was a doozy for me but that's a good thing! Great gameplay and style. Keep up the good work.

Great entry. Love the music, art, and sfx! They really lock in the atmosphere of a space exploration game. I enjoyed the battle and wish I realized sooner the idling will let them heal but it's my fault for missing the info in the how to play. Collecting the resources was cool but I only did one planet with the time I had available I was left feeling like it needed some type of stakes in order for it not to feel like chore. Maybe avoiding enemies or a puzzle? I loved navigating the map I mean your just really nailed down the experience and aesthetic. It really felt like I was a ship commander. Great jam entry! You did so much and did it very very well.

I love the way ya'll interpreted  the theme for this game jam. It made me chuckle. Pretty straightfoward gameplay once you get a hang of the prompts and I love how she just breaks that meter and keep going. The art and music are a good fit and honestly though it's short I had fun. Definitely has potential on be lengthened if you want with levels that have harder to interpret prompts and levels. Overall great entry for the jam! Keep doing the cool stuff
