I had fun building the bridge, but I encountered a bug where I could not build any more.
Really fun prototype for a game. The duck is adorable. I hope you get a chance to keep working on this - I would love to see what challenges the duck is up against,
The game idea is cool, visuals and specially that sqake sound is spot on. One funny thing i found in the game is: if duck gets too close to shark it will raise above the see level and after it can climb on top of island. I think its minor bug adding gravity or restricting duck movement in only 2 axis will solve this. that being said I very much enjoyed this bug too. Behold the almighty duck carpenter descended form the havens:
DUCKS!!
Love the game idea! Looking forward to seeing what you do next with the game!
Thank you Hermes! hope to see you nest round too.
Fun game mechanics, though I wish the night vision was more useful. Good work!
Hi, thank you. I glad you comment on my game Pirate! I respect your works for real.
W game, quack!
Quack you!
The messages add a lot of personality to this game, though the font makes it a little hard to read.
Also, I think I saw the water going upwards at some point, which really adds to the game in a weird way.
Thank you for playing! I especially like the shark note :D
Cool duck game.
The game got repetitive quick but the little funny note on every item kept me going.
The setup is great and i hope to see more in future round !
Thank you Jonqs! Hope to meet you there.
This was a cozy little game with a charming duck.
I agree with the last comment, I didn’t use my flashlight more than once. It was very difficult to read the notes at times though.
I know that this was not a complete game, but for the game progression, I would recommend adding many more islands that are a lot closer together. That way the player feels like they have “small wins” throughout the game. It makes the goal of reaching the final island less like an impossible feat because it’s broken out into small steps to get there.
Hey, thank you about your comments ! I may misunderstand the "secondary mechanic" concept bc I thought secondary mechanic shouldn't affect progress directly. Thank you for other suggestions tho!
Duck!
Anyways, I love your submission overall. It's a very cute idea! I also loved the various messages you hid around the game. One critique I have is that it was still very easy to find the wood pieces scattered around the sea without the flashlight mechanic, and I didn't really end up using it. But other than that, great game! I would love to see this expanded upon.
Thank you! and you are right about the flashlight, I just couldn't be sure about making it harder because of the playtime will be much longer and the task is not require a complete game. I appreciate you like it !
