Hi! Mechanics wise, is it “D6 tables for Maneuvers and Events”, “You’ve got 2 stats, Crush and Zigzag”, “Vehicle stats porn”, or?
Hi there! Thanks for showing interest. Its got some strategy board game DNA in it.
There are two distinct phases. School time, where you roll on an event table, form accidental alliances, gain weapons, and sabotage others etc. Then you secretly claim territory on your map..
At night you duel/race other players to settle who owns what you have both claimed.
In duels, you roll a large dice pool. Think of this as your speed!
Then you take turns pulling tricks that manipulate your dice to greater speeds, or attacks that manipulate your enemy's dice.
The loser erases the contested claims from their map. If you lose your home territory, you've been eliminated from the game.
I'll be adding another page to the previews that should add some additional context.
It took me time but now I get how the tricks and attacks work.
Trick: reroll your 1-2-3s to try and get a bigger total
Attack: reroll opponent’s 4s
I wish there was a relation to bikes, too. Maybe just naming the number of territories your “bike workshop” stat
I see not much choice for the day phase. Either it’s a mini-game in itself, and it needs choice, or it’s a reward / balancing mechanism for the night phase. I must have missed something
