Nice job, I think this idea is a fun riff on the jam prompt.

How does your game fit the theme?
It's an idle game building larger and larger skycrapers to get more and more money.

Pretty fun idle game with two major caveats for me :
- the fact the app stops running when I alt-tab kinda removes the point of it being an idle game :/
- having to choose the level of buildings you're investing into is a bit annoying since the point of the game seems to be to reach the highest levels, so spending money on improving the lower levels feels like a waste of money
The game is so fun that I played about an hour lol. I think increasing amount of Speed and Produce Amount as building level goes up needs to be buffed. I felt higher building should be more efficient. I got a great time with this game. Good luck with your Jam!
Really impressive! The tiny cars and people give a real sense of scale, and the reflection in the water is a nice touch. Very pretty game. The visual effect of upgrading a building is super satisfying.
I think some of the numbers need to be tweaked. At the moment upgrading the stats of buildings of a certain level is only worth doing a couple of times because the % increase is going down, but the cost is going up, massive diminishing returns. Also the level 7+ buildings take an age to actually produce anything, even with the production speed city member.
I enjoyed playing this game, and it definitely capitalised on the satisfaction gained from watching numbers go up haha. I liked the art, and the building visuals were great. The music was ok though I did end up muting it, thanks for adding a button to do that though! There were a couple of minor issues with the UI: the text for the button in the start screen still says "Button" and there are some floating-point / rounding issues in the amounts shown when upgrading, e.g. 9.39997. Nothing game-breaking though.
I may have got lucky, but it was easy for me to cheese the level 3 buildings and then the level 4 buildings. It would have been nice if there had been restrictions on what could be placed and / or where, just to make decisions on upgrading the building level a bit more impactful and meaningful. There is also the opportunity to explore synergies between different buildings, for example, perhaps a level 5 building must have level 4 buildings either side.
Anyway, congrats on what I perceive as a solid submission and I hope you had fun making it!
Haha, I sensed that might be the case. I appreciate the fact there was a goal - I've played other idlers where there was no goal and they felt less satisfying because the time invested didn't lead to any real pay-off, so thanks for that!
I wish you the best of luck with its development, and message me with a Steam link when the time comes to wishlisting.
Fun game! At the start I thought it would be a bit simple because of how fast everything was being upgraded but the member system actually added a lot of planning, I found.
Very well polished game. I had fun with it, even though i only reached level 6 buildings ! (they got too slow at this moment)
Very nice entry
A fun game that went a direction that while many other games have gone to, was still fairly unique. The information for each building could have been explained better I feel like, as I was quite confused on the difference between "amount" and "speed". I loved the cute art style and as you play the game you get a sense of scale with the city becoming more cramped and growing in size which ties to the theme perfectly. I loved the reflection in the water effect, absolutely some of the best art I've ever seen. Overall, solid game with an amazing art style.
I love a good idle game! I did experience one bug though: I placed as many buildings as I could before upgrading any. By level 3, some of the buildings were completely obscured and couldn't be selected any more. Other than that, this is really cool!
Thanks for the feedback. Since most people play games in Game Jams just for a little bit, incremental games aren't the best for it. It was hard to balance that progress since I had no playtesting time. The city memeber is too powerful and I will change that in the future, Really the whole game will change and be more complex with better balancing.
