How does your game apply the limitation (and optionally, the theme)?
The boss requuirement is met by having a boss at the end of the game. On the edge refers to 3 things: 1. You use an edged weapon 2. Your ammo and HP are shared so you are always "on the edge" of death 3: You play as a cybernetic ninja with a lasersword, the only way to make it edgier would be to make the main character a vampire

As pixelator said, moving left and right really made it hard to control the sword.
Other than that the bosses spinning laser attack is far to OP, you get almost no time to react.

The art was great and the music fantastic!

Cool idea, but it's kinda hard to use the sword. I don't quite feel like I have a good control of it. My brain kept wanting to say "Swing Up and Down" and not "Left to Right" (that part could just be me though). It's kinda better used as a gun rather than a sword. Also, sword guys at the end are a little annoying with their constant rate of fire and giant sword keeping you from approaching. Still don't know how I hit the one in the corridor

Fun idea! I got used to the controls over time and the graphics looked quite vivid. I can imagine there to be a deeper aesthetics.

  • Controls still seem a bit counter-intuitive to me. I think using mouse to control the direction of the sword would make more sense, although you would probably not be able to do the "slashy" moves. My biggest problem with this that I can't be precise with my moves when I need to be and so most of the time I am just spinning that blade around.
  • Graphics is on point though! Simple and clear.
  • I enjoyed the dog and drone enemies - that dog is pretty powerful haha! In case of drones, I wasn't sure if I can deflect their shots or not. I couldn't figure out how to avoid their fire to be honest.
  • I missed the lasers on the platform all the time. It was hard for me to see like there was something else.
  • That said, I could not make it past lasers. Not sure what I was supposed to do there. I am pretty sure the boss battle is good :)
