How long was your dev time?
It was 1.5 hours total (including compilation, etc.), so true time would be somewhere around 1 hour 10 minutes maybe?

I had a lot of fun making my (somehow) first fractal / Mandelbrot program, as slow as it is with higher iteration times / slower computers, but I was still energized and excited to try again in a different way, so I brushed myself up on my shaders and made a sequel to this Mandelbrot Set program instead using GLSL! It's (obviously) much faster, despite still running in HTML5 / JavaScript and made in GameMaker! I also figured out how to get the zoom to automatically shift the pan values to make sense / keep whatever is in the center in the center. I'm very happy with it.

The Mandelbrot Set is cool. It'd be awesome if you found a way to make a game out of it somehow. And as Bruno said before, the performance is pretty slow.

Looks so pretty I went down a YouTube spiral to refresh myself about Mandelbrot Sets :D

Yeah... this fractal, done in an engine (which bloats the game with a bunch of unnecessary stuff) and into html, really kills the performance. Maybe other less intensive fractals would be better.

Edit: oh, sounds would be nice too a bgm or just response to changes. And I think the game crashed my chrome lol Once I sent this comment (before the edit) it froze and kept that way for a couple minutes, i had to kill it lol
