I really like the atom design! If there would be a way to have more chain reaction without crashing the game, I think this would be a very cool simulation of imaginary atom life! :D I like it, nice work, also, cool loop!

Hi!
It's a very nice game. I really like the music
Kinda similar concept with Exponential Enemies but a bit better executed as my PC doesn't die after a few hits lol.
I like that the enemies' attack also damage them, gives the game a bit more challenge
My highest score is 135. Then it got difficult to move anywhere lol

This game was fun to play, very similar to asteroids actually, but with another twist to it. The players and enemies looked like bon fires (in a good way), a clever way of using particle effects.

The theme is well incorporated, and the music and sound effects are also fitting. I enjoyed playing it.

This is a well made game within 3 hours.

Very interesting, i think you could make a puzzle game using this mechanic, im pretty sure it's gonna be satisfying to watch. i love that the electron shoot by other atom also could shoot other atom.

i think my only complain is that there's no restart button and for some reason the game mechanic kinda broken after a while, my electron started to bounce around, even the other electron didn't register collision at all. but maybe it's not your fault and im playing on a potato powered toaster rn so prob not the most ideal  device to play a game. and maybe you could also do something to prevent spam shoot.

btw my highscore is 107

I tried to give new atoms invulnerability to non-player neutrons for a few seconds, and after a certain score (probably 75), the chain reaction stops completely. This was done to reduce the chances of a crash. I should have made extreme chain reactions a lose condition, rather than something that crashes the game.

making extreme chain reaction as lose condition i think not a good solution since it's not something under player control. maybe just destroy an atom after being splitted few times or use RNG to determinate whether the atom gonna split or or destroyed.

I have no clue where you got/made the song but it's amazing!

The concept is fun (obviously, I made a similar game!). The shooting feels a tad bit random from the enemies tho and it makes shooting an enemy a bit of a lottery. I'm not sure what the solution for this would be but it makes me play really slowly shooting one by one enemy. However, I feel like the game looks coolest when you just go mad with shooting and trigger a bunch of spawns - I'd like to see you encourage that somehow.

I wrote the music during the jam using Reaper as my workstation. Here's a timestamped link to the music production.
