Nice music, nice gameplay and good graphics.

The circling is not finicky, at least when pressing the space bar a few times to make sure. I like that it is more permissive than not, but it would be nice to have some visual indicator when the circle is considered closed enough.

But it would have been nice to try to combo multiple sacrifices at once, while checking the time left, as that would have made the game have more tension. But maybe multiple sacrifices was more work for the circling algorithm.

Hope to see you in the upcoming trijam 333, where we refine a game over 3 weeks of jam + feedback + repeat.

Thanks for the game.

Have a great week. :D

Super fun game! I love the visual style on this one - you really don't notice how simple the graphics actually are in gameplay itself because of how cohesive it all is in reinforcing an incredibly strong visual identity.

The gameplay itself rocks - the concept is super creative! I'll be honest I don't think I fully got the gist of how u were meant to rope people, I just circled and mashed space and hoped for the best 😭🙏🏼. Was able to beat the game first try which is probably a testament to it being pretty easy but I nonetheless had a lot of fun!

Well done arkicade!

Yay thanks for playing! The "rope" mechanic basically creates an area based on the line and detects if the enemy is inside the created area. There were adjustments which required the enemy to be captured in a certain way (form almost a full circle around it or make it inside a loop) but I figured it could be difficult for players to do. Generally for game jams I try to bias the game in an easier direction (especially for maybe not intuitive mechanics). Glad you liked it :D

A nice and creative game. The difficulty is kind of easy.

Great job!

Really interesting and creative game! The title really said it all haha.

The gameplay mechanic is really briliant and fits the theme super well. The polishing, in addition, made the game feel really satisfying---along with the main mechanic.

One suggestion I have is probably a harder lose condition/timer. I think either a longer timer that doesn't reset or a shorter timer both could work because the game currently feels a bit easy. However, the mechanic itself is really ingenious in such a short jam.

Great job!

Thank you so much for playing! Glad to hear you enjoyed it :) Originally I had the "capture" mechanic require more precise movement (having to do almost a full circle around the enemy) but I thought that an unconventional mechanic could lead to it being more difficult so I tried to make it easier ^^' I planned for more enemy variety too (which would change the timer) I didn't have time.

The game is super fun; I'm a little jealous of the idea you came up with, haha.
