Thanks for your reply!
I'm amazed that you played 10 runs. I'm glad that you enjoyed the game.

As for your comments, I 100% agree that the difficulty is really low, I wanted it to be more difficult, but I had no time to really get it right.
For your comments about the bugs, the barbarians require money to save a character instead of food and resources, maybe that was the case. And you couldn't build the church with the lumberjack while having 5 money, because the church costs 5 and you have to pay the lumberjack 1, so that is a total cost of 6.

With the rest of your post I totally agree and I'm thankful for your time spent in the game and writing this post 😊

I'm glad you liked the game!

For the buttons not working, it could be due to lack of money, which characters need to take actions.

Thanks for your reply, I'm glad you ejoyed it.

I really wish I made the events periodical instead of random. Right now there's 50% chance for an event, but somehow it feels way lower.

A nice and creative game. The difficulty is kind of easy.

Great job!

I'm David ☹
Thanks for playing the game! I indeed designed two more characters - an architect and a soldier. Due to time constraints I didn't manage to implement them, same with bunch of additional events and buildings you could construct. I already missed the 3 hour time frame on this.

It's not a platformer. Mouse is not locked into the game. Colliders are not working. I couldn't deliver a letter.

No idea how to unlock the other flavors.

It shows you how to shoot on the screen.

A fun little game. There's not much skill into playing it.

The game does not work, pressing A and D did nothing, same with all other keys.

The game does not work, I couldn't test anything.

Interesting twist on the platformer, very unique.

It was also very difficult to play, and this was not the good kind of difficulty, that pushes you forward and you can master it as you get better. This was frustration.

It is a great idea, however, the execution is lacking. The skateboard is impossible to control, the only way to play the game is random button mashing. It was not a nice experience.

Nice game, the music is banger.

For the gameplay - not much innovation in there. The wall jumps don't work, you can stay in place hanging on a wall. The platforming is slippery and unpredictable. The gunplay is boring.

They voices are annoying at best. Also it wasn't called PlayStation 1 when it came out, nobody knew there will be 5 of them.

We used Bezi to generate some code and help with bug fixes. My guess would be that under 5% of code base is generated.

Hi everyone.

You can simply report bugs by creating a new topic in this discussion board. Please provide as much information as possible.

This game is an open source project. If you want to follow the development more closely or you want to report bugs directly, you can do so on the project's GitHub: https://github.com/althaj/Isle-of-Colors/issues

Hallo everyone. Here's a list of know bugs:

  • Bot does not confirm their turn when they have no more space
    • This happens when the second end game trigger is met by the bot (the bot does not have enough space to fill the current die roll).
    • To work around this bug simply switch your screen to the bot's island and confirm the turn. This confirms the turn for the bot.

Isle of Colors started as a board game for a Coloring Book Contest on The Game Crafter. Today I finished a digital version and released on itch.io for everyone to try.

In Isle of Colors players are adventurers exploring colorful islands. Over multiple rounds players simultaneously fill in their personal island with four colors, each representing one type of region. At the end of the game each region type is scored differently. The player with the most points wins!

The game currently offers a single player mode against three AI difficulties and a local multiplayer. Online multiplayer is planned for a future release.

Very nice concept. I would love to play with a human opponent, as the AI is kind of easy to beat.

A hot dog

Repairing the planks adds points instead of substracting them.

I don't have a numpad :(

Thank you!

You are right, I forgot / didn't have time to implement the logic to destroy people once they are outside of the play board. Also there is a logic problem - every turn one person is spawned, but since Business men walk faster, each time they spawn, there will be fewer people in the board (once they leave the board).
Now that I look back at it, I should have skipped the audio and work the extra 20 minutes on the game logic :(

This is a game jam theme generator that generates game jam themes for game jams.

This is also a tongue twister.

Yes, indeed I noticed this behavior on other computers. Must be my microphone being pretty quiet. Well, that's as far as I can do in 3 hours :)

Interesting idea. There is ground check missing though, you can fly by repeatedly pressing the jump key.

Very good physics game! I didn't like the rewind feature though, it felt really useless, I used it only to time the explosions (when a grenade was rolling away from the target).
Also it would help if the health bars didn't rotate with the targets.

I enjoyed this game very much, it is pretty funny.

Thank you for the comment!
Damn collisions, they ruin everything :D

Thanks for the reply!
Yeah, Unity has lot of problems when it comes to 2D. It's annoying, but it doesn't have a dedicated 2D engine. I'll be learning Godot for my 2D games now on.

Yeah, the attack should be snappier, I think so too.

Thanks for the comment!
I had this problem a lot with the attack animation and I though I fixed it. Apparently it's still broken :(

Thanks for the review! Looking back the controls are really really bad. I tried to make the game pretty hard, but that shouldn't come in form of bad controls :(
Also the ending (loading earlier stage) was part of the story.

Thanks! I know the controls are a bit too slippery, I kind of like it this way.
