Fun game, but a bit too fast for me to process it.

Very nice idea ! We have to make mentally calculation fast and analyze the results ! I just have confusion concerning subtract until I saw a division.
Very good job in solo !
That was fun - pretty addictive too. I also got confused when the first apparent fractions appeared. I figured it out once I looked at the placement of the + signs... Other then that I think the hit boxes should be a little bigger as I lost quite a lot of rounds because of missing the hit even though I calculated fast enough.
Really good job to complete such a polished game in the 3 hours!
Great game! I did have a panic when I saw “5/2” trying to figure out if 2.5 was even, until I realised that was in fact a minus sign. The hardest part of this was definitely parsing the difference between subtraction and division at high speed! The hit box also caught me out a few times of swinging early even though the hitbox looks like it should have hit, so I’d recommend a bigger hitbox.
Other than those two little things, this was a real fun game!
Did you even do the sunset in the background within the time limit, or was that premade? Because the game has a real nice palette overall, and that’s some very pretty pixel art.
Haha, yeah, oops, I've had people send me bug reports that it claimed 2/1 was odd but it was actually just 2-1. It's a silly mistake that I just didn't think of in the time limit, and to be honest, I still don't really know how I'd fix it (since making the math horizontal would make the hitbox confusing)
I did make the sunset (and all the pixel art) myself, although the palette is one I got from lospec. Aseprite makes doing gradients like that pretty easy. Once I had spent about 2:40h on the game and everything was pretty much done, I decided to use what little time I had left to animate the sunset.
Excellent artwork! Your experience shows. I found the hits really hard to do at first, interesting learning curve for sure. Overall very well done.
Great game all around. Good graphics, good sounds, good time management, just good. I'm very impressed that you drew and coded basically everything yourself within the time limit, especially since the pixel art looks pretty good. How long did the pixel art take and how experienced are you, if you don't mind me asking?
