sometimes the fire spreads, but it never seems to travel more than a single block, and by the time it’s recharged there’s already way too many camps set up. so, while i’m sure it’s winnable somehow, i could not find the how

Developer

The fire spreads faster if there are more people on the island, but yeah, it could definitely be easier. Would have needed a few more minutes of balancing

The presentation is spot-on. I love the simple art style- it works really well. I played a few times and found that the humans always outrun me quite fast, so maybe it's a little on the difficult side. I had fun though and honestly it's one of my favourites from this jam overall.

Developer

Thanks! Yeah, I quickly realized that it's quite hard myself.

The idea is interesting, but the execution is lacking, unfortunately. I'd like to see a full/successful playthrough of this. In my tries, I was able to set ~10 houses or trees on fire at most before I lose. Is there some trick to recharging or spreading the fire faster?

Developer

Yeah, the game could definitely be easier. Although undocumented, the fires will spread faster if there are more humans.

One of the most interesting concepts from this game jam. Kudos.

Thank you!
