This is the idea of a game that needs to be polished, you got nice control of the character, but attacks are so slow on both sides that it feels boring.

I still don't know why the souls are out of your reach once they leave the body, I guess flying around is a good thing, chasing them before they revive sounds fun (Metroid fusion like), but far high above does not bring any satisfaction.

I feel the hit box or the attacks are really big, is hard to avoid attacks and attack, overall, great game idea about switching to capture souls, i just hope it were easier to catch

Oh I quite like how this one was thought out. Took a bit for me to pick up on the reaper thing, but it was a neat mechanic to add in a finisher move once the souls leave their bodies (though I wish they wouldn't immediately get stuck in the ceiling so much oops).

I did find myself avoiding enemies a lot, and what might have fixed that would be if reaping the souls gave you some of your life back. Though as a more direct solution I think the enemies could've used much less HP, possibly with the trade-off of them doing more damage, since their attacks are pretty well telegraphed. Also some flashing effect or something when they get damaged would help the game feel lot too. Some checkpoints would help a lot too since a lot of jam games seem to be missing that. Dontaskmewhy.

Anyway this still felt like a good balance of difficulty to improve and make it through, so good job!

This's quite enjoyable!  I like how Komachi's job is emphasised by getting healed whenever you kill a soul, gives a good motivation for what the plot wants. Enjoyable music too.

I do recommend saying somewhere double-jumping is a thing (unless it is stated somewhere and I didn't see it), this moron got kinda stuck trying to move the soulless statues to the side to be able to make jumps.

Thank you for your feedback. You're right I should put the ability to double jump in somewhere. I'm going to edit it in the controls in the description.
