Really not sure what to make of this one. A bit too minimalistic for me; I didn't really understood what it was even about. And the core concept isn't anything mind-blowing either: just an adventure game with very limited options.

Still, it's competently put together. The visuals and audio cohere nicely.

Really cool, great interface and interesting gameplay. I think a timer in the action scenes and alternative paths you can take would be a nice addition. I would love to see more of this!

Fun concept! I could see this getting very complex with more options.

(I still died once with what we were given nooo)

Thank you for playing! Yes, I want to make another game based on this concept. Might not be a horror game, we'll see where it goes!

Interesting game.

I was confused at first, because I didn't understand what the "11" meant and that there were buttons on the top right side.
Once I understood it, it was pretty good, I liked that interaction method.

I didn't really understand the plot but it's okay, I think feeling lost here is working.

Overall, I think I would have liked it to be a bit longer, to see a bit more of the plot, and more importantly, see how the system could be stretched a bit more.

Visually, it's simple yet effective.
And that shader is amazing, especially the moving distortion part.

Nice job!

Thank you for playing! Originally the binary code was supposed to be a 3*3 = 9 combination design, but after I put out my schedule, I decided to limit it to 2*2 = 4 because I "thought" I didn't have enough time for more stages. But after reading Ape's comment from earlier, I think assigning movements to the buttons will match the old terminal style better. I'll try to put these advices together and improve the gameplay.

The story is about signaller Gamma who invented 2 communication methods: Gamma Signal and the Binary Code, one is supposed to nullify *any* existing transmission signals, which can destroy human brain after ~50 hours of exposure, which was meant to be used in information warfare. The Binary Code, on the other hand, is the solution for signallers to communicate under the influence of Gamma Signal.

Gamma's comerades, Mu the medic and Phi the signaller were not too happy when they found out about his plan. Especially due to the fact that Gamma had been showing hostility towards their squad leader Lambda, while Lambda saw potential in Gamma and supported his plans. What Gamma did in return was... during one of the meetings with other signallers, he released Gamma Signal to prove himself "superior" to others. The signallers started to lose their minds, and the facility they resided in turned into a signal field where all the people's memory and voices merge into one.

With protection from the Binary Code device, Gamma was going to take Mu, Phi and Lambda out with him and pretend everything was due to an ambush attack from their enemy country. But Phi insisted that they will bring Gamma to the military court for what he had done, since this accident was, apparently, caused by the signal that Gamma created. Despite knowing that stopping the signal was impossible now, Gamma turned back because he was too proud to admit he was now a war criminal. As he desperately tried to "right his wrong", he was killed by the mad signallers. The Binary Code device kept his soul/signal alive, while the memory was gone with his body.

Then we saw what happened in the main game. Gamma's soul/signal faced the truth, but he couldn't take the fact that he was wrong, and his comerades were going to leave him behind. He died completely as he lost his pride and will to live.

Thank you for your comment :3✨

Really good shit. Simple but interesting gameplay gimmick with the 2-digit binary code actions, although I feel the spooky bits would have been more effective if they were timed. The graphics prove that you don't need +1.000.000.000 polygon models and Omegatracing lighting to create a great atmosphere. There's some vague but interesting lore going on.

My only gripe is that the controls feel a bit off, the actions are done with the mouse but the movement is done with the arrows keys, no WASD. Personally, I would have taken advantage of the old computer terminal look and added four directional clickable buttons so everything is done with the mouse.

Thank you for playing! When I slapped the shader onto the screen I almost shat myself bc it was so effective. If I learned anything from this jam, it's that shaders are amazing and they will save a lot of time in developing, everyone, literally anyone who is involved in making games should learn a thing or two about it.

As for the story, aside from what was going on "during" the game, there are some hints hiding in the map and their dialogue. Why did Gamma end up in there? And why is this game called "Gamma Signal"? Why did Gamma make the binary code when there is morse code, transmission, etc?  I had a clear mind about what is the anomaly, aside from spotting said anomaly,  I also hope someone will find out what exactly happened to them.

As for the control, I totally agree that your suggestion matches the "terminal look" better. As I am planning on making a new game out of this project, your advice helps a lot! Thank you :3 ✨
