Creative Vision / Rationale / How Did You Incorporate the Theme
At its core, the game explores generosity—not as grand gestures, but as everyday acts of care. Teaching becomes the clearest expression of that generosity: it’s a gift from one heart to another, creating real change, one letter, one seed, one moment at a time.

Through interactive mini-games, simple village life, and soft narrative beats, Gifts to Pass invites players to feel the impact of giving without expecting anything in return—and how that quiet kindness always finds its way home.

Lovely little game, nice art direction and I like the way you've made the map pieces fit organically into the screen! The mini games are a fun touch, though there is no "punishment" for failure, which technically isn't needed in a more cozy game with a warm message like this - but it might also remove the incentive of progress being "at stake" to the player. I feel like you would've expanded on that and a few other elements if you had more time but it's a great start for the time we had :)

Hi RatPrinceLucius , thank you for your feedback <3  , I also feels like we lack some challenge in the mini games, I totally agree that we should have something at stake to make the minigame have more meaning. Im thinking to add more incentive in the story and also make the mini game playtime a bit longer and with more surprises in the minigame gameplay xD

Amazing, beautiful! I love the mini-games and how you’ve incorporated them—and of course, the art is amazing! The entire gameplay loop and execution feel really refreshing!

Aaaaaa such a cute wholesome story!! 🥹 The ending was emotional, the way you implemented the theme is very nicee, subtle and meaningful. I found myself lost many times with dungeons like path but it was fun either way, wasn’t too difficult.

Overall, a cute little game with good story and implementation. Also, I love the art style sooooo muchhhh!

Hiii frolicphoenix , Thank you for playing our game 🫶 ✨

I'm really glad that we can deliver the emotional side with that little to none dialogue 😆

Hey it's Chris!
Maya boarded the ship and waved goodbye, and I was there with her. I loved the visual presentation--especially cutscenes and opening cover--and the minigames (who can not love fishing?). It might be interesting to try compacting the experience without the walking and navigating--I had a tough time going around, and had to circle back and forth the island a few times xD. Really proud of you guys--I'm not sure, but I feel like this was a project created for the game jam, and I really appreciated it.

Hi Chris, thank youu for playing our game!

At first we want to add more interactions, side quests, and mini games for player to find when walking around,  and yes, we overestimate ourself  xD
