This was a fun game
I like the variations between the different enemy types as well as their different abilities, the levels were vast and designed well however an issue I had was the camera and the jolting in and out, it took a while to get used to. However overall a good experience!
Nice concept.
I liked the background details, like portraits of cats etc.
Loved the art style, the cat looked amazing. The gameplay was smooth, but I did manage to fall off the map in the second level and just fall forever :)
Really well made game with a simple but great gameplay loop. Characters and art style are all fantastic and movement is nice and quick. The zoom out mechanic when you jump felt a little weird but other then that a really solid game.
liked how the cats head had been added to the unity logo at the startup with a nice and simple menu with simple nice sound effects. Quite like the idea of the level select but think it should have been available after you completed the game or after you've completed a level then its unlocked.
I liked the pause menu but it's a shame it only works on level 5 and the camera although seems like a good idea actually makes it frustrating to play.
A few of the enemys hit boxes are way off in the first level and the image floats in to the wall and then you start to get attacked from an invisible force.
The dash feature is over powered and can be spammed so I feel as though giving it some kind of cool down would have increased the challenge of the game as it felt quite easy as nothing respawned after you've jumped on its head I also thin ko that giving it a little animation would have been a great addition.
The double jump is well implemented and feels nice but its weird how you have to die to gain access to it. The rest if the controls are also good and responsive.
It's a shame only level 5 has any BGM but I do like most of the SFX of the game but feel as though there should have been more.
The design of some of the levels are very nice especially level 1 there is also a nice variety of enemies that have different behaviours it's a real shame that there isn't a level 3 and 4 as I did quite like the game.
The rolling credits at the end were a good idea. Overall I think the game was quite fun and had potential but there was a fair few problems with it.
One of the things that stood out for me was how nice the menu looked and acted. With highlights and sound when you clicked. I also really enjoyed the style of the levels and each one felt unique. One thing I was not a fan of though is the camera zooming when you jump, but apart from that its a great game.
That was really enjoyable the sound effects along with the art style really gave it a retro mario feel animations good as well music definitely pulled everything together and i like the fact you added credits at the end.
Really nice pixel art and controls were pretty smooth. Ground detection was broken on the moving platforms so I couldn't jump and it wasn't very clear where some of the next platforms were since the camera was so zoomed in. The levels were well designed though, good job.
Graphics and art really work well together.
Sometimes double jump doesn't work, and sometimes jump doesn't work at all, but other than that the controls are responsive.
When I fall down it doesn't restart so I didn't get past the second level, but good job!
Enjoyed looking at the showcase and getting a feel for the game. Bit of a shame we couldn't play this properly.
I like how smooth the game plays, and the cat mage is nicely made.
I like the platforms that will move on pressing e, as well as the checkpoint system, which adds more game play features.
If the other levels were accessible then this would have been a great game, however the showcase level does show off the functionality of the game very well.
There isn't much in the game to make it especially interesting. The mechanics are good, but I'd need a proper level to be capable of making a more thorough review.
Great idea and such, though in the current build I can't really get a good idea on it. I'll probably wait for a few levels to be made before making a proper comment though.
