I like that there are two different environments for the levels and that there is a level progress bar. It was also fun to play.

Its very interesting concept. The whole game is very relaxing, big reason for that is the music which I especially liked. I like that you can get different levels right away. The two levels felt like from 2 different games however, I like both of them, they were just a bit jarring together.

UP2037603: I found the lack of played controlled upward movement initially jarring but it quickly became an interesting mechanic when tied to the wind that the player hops between. The variety of 3d assets, as well as the use of both the indoor and outdoor scenes, demonstrates that a lot of work was put into making the game as visually pleasing as it is. The ability to select the level you play is a welcome addition to avoid the player restarting entirely after losing.

Relaxing, use of multiple music tracks, innovation of the concept, lack of shooting, missing something? cool level design.

Really liked the feel of Paperthin. It was a really relaxing experience and I even completed both levels. I think the music helped enormously with making it such a relaxing experience as well as the really unique take on the Starfox 1993 (on rails) style, of not being combat based. The only thing I can say I would add is smoother movement, perhaps some more animations to make the movement of the plane feel more fluid. There is also in my opinion something missing... Try as I might I can't quite figure it out. I'm not sure if some kind of abstract story line or points system is what's needed... I can't quite put my finger on it.
Regardless, the game works excellently and even feels fun and relaxingto play. Great job guys!

Cheers man, in terms of something being missing, there were a couple of aspects we had planned but that didn't work out in terms of time. One was the option to customise your plane, the second was the addition of a mushroom level (shown in the thumbnail) and the third was a near-miss system where you would get more points by barely dodging an obstacle.

Hopefully that helps a bit?

That makes a lot of sense! I think with that added functionality the game would feel whole and complete. It's a fantastic game, I think you guys did great. It's such a shame having to stop working on these before we've implemented all the ideas we have for them!

Definitely a unique concept! Took a bit to understand how to play. Personally, I think the movement is fine after you get the hang of it, but I just got a bit let down to find out that it's not a shooter game.

Either way, good job for the team and level creators!

I like how you implemented a progress bar and the game looks really nice aesthetically but the movement is jarring and I feel like this game would benefit from some instructions on how to move  cause it took me a while to figure how to play.

Now that the Game is up. Very innovative this game idea. I love the mechanic of having to use gusts of wind to go up, making this game very unique and different from the starfox formula. The gameplay is a bit janky which kind of lets it down a bit. Otherwise I love the Progress bar feature and the option to go to other levels from the main menu allowing for all the levels to be explored for a review. Overall, Very unique Idea with nice art with ok gameplay.

I really like the concept of the game, very unique. I took me a couple tries to figure it out but I was really vibing with it once I got it all worked out. I think the game could have benefitted with some sort of shooting to fit the starfox theme (although im not sure how a paper airplane would shoot). I particularly like the 2nd level and the option of having multiple levels to choose from, really great game!

This is a very good take on the Starfox 1993 genre and although there isn't any shooting, I found it a refreshing experience and it also made sense starting from the beginning when you died.

The sound FX and music were very good and I liked the level select as this game could become frustrating very quickly if you had to start from level 1 over and over. The art style of this game was also very simple but looked very good. My main problems with this little gem was how janky the controls felt as if you quickly turned left then right then the paper airplane would jerk in that direction so a little smoother turning would have been good but a great game non the less!

Since it has been fixed i have tried out both levels, really like the designs and think the overall game looks nice. However i found the controls extremely hard to use and the movement to not be very smooth. Which all in all made it hard to progress through the game and really do anything at all, i think if you addressed the movement a bit more you would overall have a really nice game.

I cant access the game itself

As everyone else said this doesn't seem to be working which is a shame the thumbnail looks awesome. Hopefully this gets fixed and if so please do leave me a message so i can come play!

Developer

Pretty sure it's fixed now, but we need someone else not on the team to make sure of that

it does indeed run

The game looks good from the thumbnail, sadly the page is unavailable so i can't play .

Im not sure if this is an issue on my end or with the game?

After playing both levels I really enjoyed the graphics and gameplay.

The mechanics are great and dont take too long to get the hang of making it quite an easy and enjoyable game to play.

Really good job on making a new inervative step into the genera.
