This game is very good, the artwork is great. I also like the sound effects and found the controls worked well.
UP2037603: I was extremely impressed with this game. You can tell that there's been a lot of work done on the models involved; that, combined with the shadwers and music, creates a brilliant atmosphere that accompanies the well built gameplay.
I did find that the rockets felt unnecessary to use although it's possible that I missed their purpose. The rail system, although well designed in how it loops around a large and varied map, did make it very easy to accidentally collide with obstacles if you weren't fast enough to move out of the way.
The reloading mechanic adds an interesting check on the player's capabilities rather than allowing limitless fire to clear your way through the map; it seems like a very sensible decision for difficulty.
Visually, the game is beautiful. It really has its own feel with the low poly and uniquely coloured models and assets used. The games lighting appears to have also been thought through and there has been a few hours put into making it look the way it does.
In terms of gameplay it feels very nice and responsive. The controls feel smooth and the players objective was clear. Unfortunately there is one point into the game where the difficulty appears to spike and it is a challenge (I'm not saying challenge is bad in any way) getting through the many obstacles that are hard to see due to the camera orientation.
Overall this game looks good and feels good with only very minor things keeping this from a near perfect score.
What a visually stunning game! The vibrancy of the colour and fluidity of movement makes this arguably the best game on this jam. I'd be shocked if this doesn't win best Gameplay. The sound design is brilliant too and the implementation really just works. This is truly an outstanding game and I am thoroughly impressed.
My only real recommendations would be: Stop the player from being able to move through the floor. Add a way to refuel your ammo, or remove the limited ammo feature completely. Add a sound effect to indicate the player has taken damage. Implement a personal best/ highscore save system and make it harder to get high scores to add more meaning to the score earned. This could be done by lowering how many points you get from each orby thingy.
Once again well done to everyone on this project.
This game looks great it is basically a work of art. Models and gameplay loop are all on point and the sound design is really good. Could do with a heads up on what you should be doing and shooting to gets points but other then that an amazing game.
This game looks absolutely stunning, it really make you feel like you are under water. Good job to those who created the visuals for the game. Also, allowing you player to choose which way they want to go at certain sections is amazing. The character feels nice to control and shooting is pretty accurate.
However, for me, there was no clue indication owhat I could actually shoot as everything kind of blended together. Sound effects were nice, maybe you could of added some for the missles or when enemies die. Also, there were many instantces where the cross hair hid behind some of the game objects or was slightly disorted because of it.
Overall, a really good game. Good job!
Incredibly pretty game, kudos to everyone. It plays smoothly and it does feel like you're underwater thanks to the slight distortion and the charming music, the only gripe I have with it is the time it takes to reload your guns, it feels a little long and could be cut down by about half a second.
I loved it, amazing visuals! :D
A very aesthetically pleasing game with some awesome lighting. The enemy AI was very well programmed as well. So far this is probably the number 1 contender for the jam. The only thing I would say to add is crash animation for when the player crashes into rocks.
Incredible game everything looks so polished. Loved the models and the UI is super clean and looks great.
Gameplay is fun and sound is well balanced.
Actually blown away by he quality and beauty of the scenery. A fantastic game!
Top Tier Game here this is. The Level Design is Amazing, absolutely gorgeous along with the enemy and player models, Really great on the art side. Whilst still great mechanically there are some problems, personally I can't find a way to get more machine gun ammo, eventually you get faster than the rockets making it very hard to shoot enemies later on, the player sometimes follows the path in a weird way. Other than that there are just some small bugs which are fine for a game whose quality is this high. Amazing Job!
Playing through this I couldn't believe it had been done in two weeks! Excellent work with the models, animations, and effects.
The gameplay is one of the best I've seen so far, the looping is a really nice touch and there's a clear goal from the outset.
Who made the fish model by the way? I want them on my team next time xD
Amazing work!
This game looks amazing! Very impressed with the overall image and polish of the game, found myself slightly confused as to what i was dying to the first couple of times playing however once i figured it out it was great. Also was unsure on exactly what everything on the UI was meant for.
I really enjoyed this game it feels quite polished and the UI is very nice. I feel as though a tutorial would have helped as I had no idea what I needed to collect rockets and at first was trying to shoot all the ammo pickups and avoid them until I learnt what they were thus wasting all my ammo, so my first couple of tries could have gone better if I knew what I was trying to do.
The water effects that were used were a nice touch and didn't distort the image too much but I did find that it made it slightly more difficult to aim due to my reticule being wobbly I also thought It was a little jarring being able to go under the floor and was even punished for it by receiving damage however I thought that nearly all of the collisions were very good.
The sound effects were nice and I liked how the difficulty ramped up the longer you survived without getting hit. Your main menu was also very polished. I wished that you had more ammo to shoot with or the fire rate was reduced somewhat as I was spending all my ammo very quickly without even realising. The scoring system was also a nice touch and it felt like I had a reason to keep going so I could the highest scored. However I don't know if there is an end to this game or if its an endless looping game but regardless very good game. Good job team.
Fun game over all, with the art and how enemies work being the best part of the game.
There were a couple bugs however, with the player ship shooting off a 3rd projectile every once in a while that fires off diagonally into space.
This game looks amazing and I really like the sound design it does feel a bit clunky to control but otherwise amazing job.
