Amazing game! I especially loved the music change when meeting N*** (not trying to spoil LOL). I think including more music for future releases that enhances these emotions would be amazing.
Thank you for your comment and review!
Music really does add to atmosphere of games and is an important part. Next time we will definitely give more focus to that area!
Stunning work. Quick Time Events or timed choices for tense moments can amplify them more than the standard choice selection present in the game.
Thank you for your comment and rating!
That seems like a great idea to amp up the horror aspect and give the player more interaction!
The hover sounds on the title screen buttons made me think the audio was glitching lol - took me a minute to figure out what was happening as they started before the messages disappeared. They're quite loud for button hover sounds and would honestly be the only thing I'd update about the game as the story was quite good!
I went with being the obedient maid the whole time and got the "Good End?" Neat for having percentages of how much script has been seen at the end.
Thank you for your feedback! We'll definitely need to take a look at that hover sound after the jam is over.
This one's really well done! The protagonist's voice is pin-sharp and loads of fun (I particularly like her comment about why would anyone run towards a scream). The character art is super expressive and gives them so much personality. The branching is elegantly constructed--there are a lot of ways it can go with a small number of choices. The one weak spot is the backgrounds; hopefully if you develop this further you can hire a background artist, but that's not a big deal. Here's to more hijinks in the future!
Thank you for your feedback! We agree about the backgrounds - time permitting, we would've redrawn them, but we both work full-time so time did not permit :( We did work really hard on the script and character designs, though, and are really glad that you liked them! Thank you again!
I enjoyed this a lot! Well written and well structured with a nice sense of pacing and mystery. The art style is great and I love the mood established by the background images.
My only nitpick is that the sound effects when you hover over the quick-bar options are a bit annoying. I was confused at first and thought it was part of the soundtrack, but if you wave the mouse past all the buttons it makes a fairly unpleasant sound. I would recommend changing it so the sound only plays when you click a quick-bar button!
Thank you for your comment! We'll take a look at that sound effect, but glad that you enjoyed the game!
