I can't think of anything bad at this game. Artur is the nicest murderous warlock out there

The sprite art in this is so gorgeous and I love how the completely different background style helps to create quite a disturbing dissonance to suck you into the atmosphere of the world. It's really cool how the backgrounds change too like in the pharmacy with variations.

I haven't managed to reach the proper end yet because I suck, so I'll just have to keep at it, haha. I know there are a fair few choices I still haven't tried yet though. I need some sleep though so I'll have to try again another time x3

SPOILERS

The counting aspect to regain control/calm within the story and as a sort of minigame is really interesting. I'm a sufferer of anxiety for as long as I can remember, but have never been taught any techniques by the therapists I've seen over the years which have actually helped me cope with it >.< I don't get panic attacks myself, but I do get sort of spiraling thoughts that can paralyse me if I let them get too out of control, so when I came across the pharmacy scene looking for the medication and the bottles broke, then panic set in, I can definitely relate to that sort of torrent of negative thinking that just hampers your efforts with whatever you're trying to do >.< I had hoped that perhaps mindfulness would be of some help with breaking the pattern, but I'm not strong enough to apply it effectively.

Sorry to ramble on about my mental health anyhow >.< I just wanted to say that I think it's really neat to be able to relate to a protagonist in that sense because you don't see too many MCs in games who openly deal with issues like that.

Thanks for the comment! Our team is currently reading your game as well (it's difficult to schedule reading sessions between us, which is why we aren't done yet, but we're all looking forward to finishing it since we are totally in love with that game)!

If you want me to tell you a path to one of the endings, I can help out, haha :)

About the anxiety aspect: several team members have similar issues, which is why we decided to make a game about it. The exercise Emma performs is a slightly altered version of the 54321 method, which I mainly use when I have to get shots or have blood drawn as I tend to think myself into a panic (nothing rational, just my brain going haywire). It's helped me to not pass out whenever I see a needle, because it's a great way to distract yourself. I've also used it for social anxiety, but with more mixed results. The exercise is definitely worth a shot whenever you need to get out of your head and back into the present :)

Again, thanks for taking your time and leaving a comment, it's very much appreciated!

That's great to know :3 I hope you guys don't run into any terrible bugs because I was only able to test on Windows and one of the team's Vas played on Mac this morning and said it's quite glitchy T_T I had no idea until now because I have no way to test Mac builds >.<

Hmm, I feel like it would be sort of cheating, but at the same time I would really like to try and get a better ending than the one I got last night because I feel like that was probably one of the not so good ones that I reached xD If you don't mind giving some hints that would be awesome! And if you don't wanna put spoilers out in the open, you can always email them to me at: melancholicmarionette@gmail.com

On one hand, it sucks that some of you guys have to deal with that sorta thing because I wouldn't wish it on anyone :( But on the other hand, it's really nice that you were able to get together and make something so creative inspired by it!

Before playing this, I had never even heard of that method! Everything I've been taught in the past involved interrupting my thought patterns in different ways which just never helped me very much >.< So I'll be looking into this method and trying it out to see if it does any better! Most of my anxiety is social anxiety, but I also get sorta trapped in random thought loops being pestered by random, unwanted, totally intrusive thoughts, so anything that helps for either would be fantastic.

Thank you again for your awesomeness ^-^

We're playin on Windows, so we should be fine. I'm really hoping to continue now that it's the weekend :)

Spoilers for our game below:
As far as the endings in our game go: try to preserve your tea at least once. The first mini-game is easier than the second one, so I suggest you drink tea in the pharmacy if you're stuck, while not drinking any in the backyard. Besides that, you may want to have a look at those leaflets at some point. Hope this helps :)

Alrighty! I was away over the weekend reveling in my favourite time of year with all the scare attractions being open now, haha. So I didn't a chance to play anything at all x3 Thank you for the hints though! Much appreciated :3 I will make sure to try and get a better ending keeping those things in mind :D

By the way, I absolutely adore the new cover/thumbnail for Perfection! It's sooo gorgeous <3
