Wow! I was not prepared for how good this game was. The writing does not hold back and is both heart shakingly cruel and whimsically sweet.
I am so happy to read that this story will continue. The unanswered mysteries leave me wanting to see more and I really feel for your main character.
It was an excellent choice to make changes to the interface and artstyle for different parts of the story. It really helped build tension.

Wow this hits hard right from the start. Anyone who has been bullied can completely relate to this beautiful story, yet rarely has this type of trauma been handled so well. The writing is great and hits it's mark.
The art is amazing and done in such a way that it really enhances the story. I adore the way the visual of reality and fantasy were designed and the smiling uncaring faces of bystanders really touched a nerve.
The music was also beautiful throughout.
I was also very pleasantly surprised by the introduction of rpg, turn based mechanics :) which were really fun and implemented perfectly.

A very sharp and incisive satirical fantasy, one which calls to mind the dark comedy Heathers: while bullying feels at the time like a straightforward good-versus-evil conflict, it's fascinating and refreshing to explore what it means when the victim is granted the opportunity to strike back! I'm looking forward to future chapters of this story!

It starts raw, hitting the road like a bulldozer. All preparing you to the absolute contrast of the real world... And lays the foundation for everything that comes after.
The hardship and savagery of some scenes is directly contrasted by mellow and sugary moments that make it all worthwhile for the plot to both, sustain and thrive.
The story is heartbreaking, hits home real hard and makes you empathize with the main character beyond words. And then the twist comes, the lines become blurry, and it all goes up, but also down in the duality of the actions.
The art is lovely, the cinematography excellent, and it all sorrounds a great and interesting plot.
Can't wait to see how this continues!!!

This is up there with some of my favourites from the jam that I've played so far :3 I absolutely adore all the art, and the camerawork is beautiful! The battle system feels like it fits well and isn't too fiddly or fatiguing like that sort of thing can sometimes be in VNs. I would love to have included something similar in my very first game but had no idea how x3
I love Mada so much ^-^ All of the characters are adorable, and normally, wherever a bunny-like character appears, that'll be my favourite, but nope, you went and put a pangolin in there, so Mada has my heart, haha. Pangolins need more love in general!!
And as a victim of bullying at school myself, the story is one that resonates with me. While my experience certainly wasn't the same, there are enough similarities for me to step into MC's shoes and feel right at home. I was always the odd one out, and as a result, when I was a kid, the only friends I had were those in fantasy worlds >.< And those worlds were my escape and my everything, haha. I may not have to suffer at the hands of school bullies now, but escaping away to fantasy worlds is still a pretty important part of my life considering how cruel reality can be!
I'm really looking forward to seeing where things go with the remaining chapters! Best of luck with development :3 Oh, and it would be amazing if it's not too awkward to add a gallery feature for the final release so that we can go back and look at your beautiful art some more ^-^

It must be hard being a victim, I was bullied too waaaay back in middle school. And yes, it's okay to find solace in imaginary world and escape from the harsh reality, as long as you find strength from it to keep moving forward with your life, it's alright. (❁´◡`❁)
I planned to put a gallery for the CGs in this demo, but I couldn't make it as I was struggling to set up the battle system www but I will put it on the full release! I'll do my best! q(≧▽≦q)
Sadly, I'm too incompetent to use Ren'Py atm T_T haha. I did try years ago, but just completing a tutorial project made my head hurt, then I stumbled across Tyranobuilder in a Humble Bundle and used that x3 Then I wound up getting Naninovel in a sale! I do wish I could use Ren'Py! It's just when I attempted it all that time ago, I found the programming side of things so stressful and headache-including that I knew it would put me off making VNs if that was how I had to do it >.< I have a lot of admiration for all the devs who manage to use it though! :3
Tbh, if they were available + I was rich, I would buy plushies of them all, but Mada would be the first one in my basket :D
I'm sorry you had to go through bullying yourself :( I sure as heck wouldn't wish it on anyone. I think it was probably thanks to video games that I even survived school at all xD I especially remember FFX giving me enough joy and escapism to give me the strength to do well in my studies despite the horrible social situation occurring at the same time!
Hell yeah, for the gallery :D It's totally understandable that you wouldn't have time to squeeze one into the demo cos with everything that's there, you did A LOT of work as it is, haha. I really like this game.
The story is told in a great manner.
The UI is incredible (although the quick menu is a little distracting at times).
The character designs are good.

I am absolutely speechless. First of all, thank you for not shying away from this difficult topic. Second, oh gosh the animations! This is like a proper movie! I am super impressed. Honestly the whole mood is perfect. Even the round-based combat fits greatly into the theme.
