I really like the orbiting interpretation of the theme. The sounds were also really nice and unintrusive and the aesthetics fit well. I feel like the game is more just a game with a timer slapped on it rather than a game made for speedrunning but other than that the gameplay is simple and fun!

Challenging, but i made it through in 3:30 ^^

Cool interpretation of the theme. Good work!

I got a 1:54:31. It seems like the optimal strategy to shove all but one planet into a corner and use one to collect the pickups. But hey, maybe it's faster to use them all somehow. Still, I had a good time with it!

Wow nice time! I had tried to do this during development but was always too much of a rush to get the other planets out of the way, looks like I didn’t try hard enough! ;) I still think there’s an optimal way with all planets, not sure if that will be any faster than this though! Maybe if I update the game post jam I may have some static planets and one or two you can move, might make for more interesting gameplay. Thanks for playing!

Not sure if this is the intended way, but I found a personal strategy:
I launch the ship very weakly, remove all the planets except the blue one, and then use it to steer the ship across the whole screen. 😄

Awesome! Great approach :) Speed run wise, my thoughts were that the fastest way would be starting fast, building up momentum and then carrying that over to the next planets and kind of ‘catching’ it so it swings around that planet, gets the star and straight onto the next, so you could just whizz the rocket around catching the stars for a near perfect run, after a fair bit of practice! But yeah, though I feel like it’s possible, I am not yet able to do it haha. Thanks for playing! :)

Absolutely brutal, but I had a lot of fun! Nice interpretation of the theme, enjoyed a lot! ^^

Thanks for playing! Glad you enjoyed it!

Nice game, may be a bit difficult, but good job, could you try mine? thanks!

Kind of hard to play, but it looks good and feels fun to play. Good work! :)

Developer

Thanks! Appreciate it's pretty tough. - I made a video of me speedrunning 3 minutes, so if you struggled with it then if you want you can give that a watch for tips and try and beat my time! ;) Cheers! :)

Nice idea and very fun. Was pretty challenging but that's definitely not a bad thing, it was fun to try and find the right angle.

Developer

Thanks! Glad you didn't mind the challenge :)

Works quite well and is a really good interpretation of the theme, but it was extremely difficult and challenging. But that's not generally a negative point in my opinion.

Developer

Thanks for playing! Yeah it can be a challenge I admit, but if you get a feel for the gravity of the planets, you can get into a flow with it, you can see from the video I added at least one decent way to approach it. Thanks again!

It was a good submission! It had fun visuals and gameplay. The only problem is you may have made it too hard. If you continue this project some playtesting would do this game some good!

Developer

Thanks for playing! Sorry you found it too hard. I think level 5 is the limit definitely. I managed 4:23 to complete the game, but does take some practice to get used to controlling the rocket, and also work out when to get planets out of the way. Cheers!
