liked the sleuthing and the atmosphere – it had a good “escape room” type puzzle. You could almost make it in real life! But yeah, nice room/environment design. The last couple of puzzles were a bit head-scratchy, but a few tweaks/signposting (particularly for the seating plan one!) would fix it. I’d look forward to seeing the missing puzzle too. It would be cool if there was a mechanic with the flashlight for one of the puzzles, maybe? It’s a pity that you can’t pick up the gold at the end, but I just imagined a Scrooge McDuck-type dive into it 😊

Developer

Thank you for playing and thanks so much for the feedback also! I agree a mechanic with the flashlight is a great idea :) ahah nice, really an animation diving into the gold would be perfect

You definately got the atmosphere down, the mechanics all work really well. I could have done with a clue or two for the final safe one, I had to give up in the end. Good job though!

Thanks :)) That's fair, there are a few parts to it so it's a tricky one for sure!

This is really neat. We did solve the seating arangements (or at least reached the solution listed on the itch page) but it didn't seem to trigger anything to let us into the next room.

Atmosphere was good, graphics and animation were great. Maybe could do with on screen instructions for controls (took us a while to figure out how to put something down)

Really good job :)

Developer

oops, I had typed the solution out wrong it should be correct on the page now :') Thank you and thanks for playing!

I went back and finished it. We did have the solution wrong.

The last puzzle is really good :)

Those were some pretty nice puzzles. The final room I think I got lucky, or maybe I missed a clue, because I just had to guess which was the right solution

Developer

Thank you! Well done for making it to the end, lucky or not :D

Agreed, I got stuck in the yellow room too, couldn't figure it out. Very nice atmosphere.

Developer(+1)

that was our bad! We didn't quite get the surrounding clues needed finished in time,we have posted updates/solution on the itch page. Thanks for giving it a try :)

I loved the puzzle in the green room ;) And I disliked the yellow one because I couldn't figure it out. Is the excellent cook a red herring? (You don't have to answer)

Awesome set of mechanics for a jam game; you even have doors that work properly!

Developer

thanks for playing! Yeah I think the yellow puzzle was made too difficult by us not quite finishing in time :') the empty room was supposed to be the kitchen and we were meant to mark the head of the table with a chair that was more obvious haha. Glad you liked the mechanics :D
