I really love the voice acting; it's great to see that, especially in a jam game! Really shows the effort that went in. I liked the concept too, of a devil accidentally becoming an angel, it's a really interesting idea for a story, and I'd love to see it expanded upon. There's great potential for expansion in the game generally, with new enemies, new puzzles, new bossfights, there's a lot that can be added, and it's got a solid foundation! The character sprites were also really nice, particularly Lupina's, they had some good character and I like how simple it was whilst still conveying that. I had a good time playing this, and I'd love to see where it goes in future - well done!

We were all blown away when the voice actor brought the character to life, and when the sound designer made the environment come to life as well. Everyone had their roles and everyone did a great job! We had fun doing this one :) Thank you!

Always have been a strong advocate of gaming as a story telling medium (with witty humour when applicable). And Lupina is the best of this lot at that. Had an "undertale" vibe. Text/subtitles added to the voice over would do better. Thing is, If the voice over at first wasn't heard & the text aren't read (which happens so often due to player-impatience lol), the character visuals alone, isn't enough to be identified as a demon with a halo, which is off-putting if trying to make sense of the theme & story (without listening or reading). But I did pay attention:-) That said, loved the script & VO when it was good. Went well with the theme too. Sound was simple & non-intrusive but could be more engaging maybe. Was happy to be the dumbest demon talking to a blind and deaf little girl lol

Thank you so much for the reply and playing the game!

Will try to make it clearer next time

Fun Game!

cool story with voice acting!

one thing though when I opened the tunnel while fighting that corn... that rudy pooh silly boy talked to me and I cant MOVE! and of course that Corn monster took its time beating my head up. LMAO

Great GAME loved it

Developer

Thank for playing!
Ahh I must have missed that.

If there is any dialogue or text, pressing e should make you go to the next dialogue, and make you move.

The Corn shows no mercy !

My thoughts after playing your game

Good

  • Decent voice acting, a nice touch to the game. However, some clips were quiet and hardly understandable.
  • Graphics look nice
  • Decent amount of content
  • I liked that you added audio (SFX & music)

Area of improvement

  • Enemies don't do much but are pretty annoying to kill.
  • The corn boss was far too easy.
  • Having no checkpoints is pretty darn annoying.
  • Missing UI/HUD - the player has no idea how much health he or the boss has
  • On the second boss, spawning spikes are too sudden after "the signal," which is hardly visible on a similar-palette background
  • Poor control layout: Arrow keys, E, M, and P???
  • The theme fit didn't strike me. Perhaps someone else might see it more clearly, but I don't see it.

I hope that helps ;)

TLDR: Demon becomes the good person through the story.

Thank you for playing! And the voice acting, yeah we all liked it too ahah.

Unfortunately, I didn't had time to do the UI or the checkpoints ^^'
The game was meant to be played with AWDS as movement and M and shooting. Sorry you had to go through the arrow keys lol.

For Roles Reverse, we thought of a demon that was helping people instead of the angels. And the angels (didn't had enough time to incorporate, but gave a clue in the end) was doing the harm. The demon became the "angel" that helps people.
