Nice game! I love how you've flipped the concept of a tower defence game, it definitely feels different being the attacker instead of the defender. I like how the towers upgrade as well, it was a good incentive to play quickly (and it was fun shooting them down too). The variety in weapons was also good to see - I'm not sure if they actually did anything different, but it was still interesting! It'd be great to see different effects for each tower, different mechanics for all of them, I'd love to see that depth added. Good work on this game!
I get the Tower defence/tower offence theme. Got over too soon. Simple & smooth graphics (everything "meshes" well with each other) Retro style sound eventually gets in your head, in a good way :-)
I might be wrong but it made me feel like I couldn't be killed by those towers, and that they're very rarely shooting at all. It made me feel like I didn't have any sense of urgency and I can take my time without consequence.
I was also surprised when I won the game, because I didn't know why. I know it had to do something with collecting crystals, but now that I think about it, I think it's because one of my guys was standing on a crystal spawner.
