I didn't expect to have this kind of gameplay while playing games build with SGB.
It's truly unique and well executed XD
The art also really good. I like it XD
My wife loved this entry (she said it was the winner, for her).
I enjoyed the unique style and genre of game made considering the engine. I was very impressed by the art and presentation.
The story made mention of many things that made even me, a master detective who has seen his fair share of blood and gore, very uncomfortable. I considered an early retirement at the thought of certain non-family-friendly clown exhibits.
I really appreciate this entry, and thank you for submitting it. We had a lot of laughs and smiles with this one, and it was awesome that it was presented "complete" (there was an ending and no indication of limited features!)
I did find a bit of a bug! -- when we brought the older lady in for questioning, we asked her something and she turned into another character! I might be able to give you specifics on that later, if needed!
Thank you so much for your kind words! :D This made me really happy since I was a little bit worried people wouldn’t like the presentation.
Thank you for telling me about the bug, I’ve fixed the original project file right away. :)
This was really cool! Reminds me of a cartoony, sillier Policenauts (which I adore). The art is great, and the menus are clean. Very polished!
Thank you so much! :D
PROS:
Love the art style. It has that old Saturday morning cartoon vibe too it. I found the story to be engaging. I was able to complete it in under 10 mins with no errors apparently. I wish it was longer, I would like to see more cases to solve. The navigation reminded me of Flash based web games from days of past (A good thing).
CONS:
This might be more of a Pro but It felt like it could have been created with any game engine since I didn't notice anything SGB, minus the dialogue boxes. It was too short but I understand it's only a game jam entry. Lastly, I kinda wished there was more "interaction" with the environment. Walk around town, search houses for clues, etc.
A Saturday-morning cartoon was definitely the vibe I was going for.
I plan on expanding on the game and story in the future and also make walking around and exploring the world possible since that would also fix the current saving issue, but I ran into time constraints so I didn't have enough time to make sprites or 3D models for an entire city and for all the characters.
Thank you for the feedback, it's much appreciated! :D
