So I've given it a play. It looks very pretty and the modelling is nice. The game experience is a little flat, I did not encounter anything scary and I got to like the 5th room I think. I ran out of steam at that point. Looking at the ratings I would have been about the same. It's hard to know now that I can see the raw score, but 4,3,2,2,2 is probably what I would have gone with. Lot's of potential though.
Thank you for your support!, this is a motivator, it is not perfect in any means but it was very ambitious for 7 days which the last day my internet failed on me at 1AM and I had to drive to my dad's home for 50 miles before time ran out and made sure everything was playable from itch.io, surely a wild ride until the end and I'm glad everyone made there best efforts to make everything work and looked and feel like a proper prototype and that is what it really counts, I was bombed out about the rating system but hopefully next time we will have better luck and better awareness on marketing out game better and not just make the game only, thank you for the effort of replying to me and the team, this is very motivational to participate in other game jams.
There is a considerable lack of audio implemented here, unfortunately making it feel stilted and empty. Some of the platforming felt a little funky, but I too typically am not very good at platformers. Some of the puzzle design seems unclear to the player, and after so many I found myself just randomly interacting with the lights trying to make something happen, without understanding why I was doing it or why the lights actually did anything. There are some interesting ideas in the works, the animations are fairly well done, the camera work has some nice cuts, but overall it feels disjointed and doesn't communicate the player's goals very clearly. I feel like my experience would have been so much better if there were more sounds in general.
Thank you for your feedback, it's greatly appreciated, some of these might be implemented if the team wants to continue to polish what we have, but if not this is basically the end of this prototype, I will update some things and re do some other areas that need attention, again thanks for taking the effort to play our game!
The character design is good and the color schemes in some room are pleasing. It is maybe juts me, but some indicator for the primary goal could help. An example: In the second (or third) room there is a blue cone which I wrongly assumed to be the target. I didn't manage to reach the end but am willing to give it another shot, as soon as I have enough time for it. Well done :)
Thank you for your feedback, hopefully after the jam is over the game can be polished just a tad more!
I really liked the aesthetic of this game! 10/10 charadesign, I loved the bunny(?) player character. It kinda gave me nostalgic vibes from puzzle games I used to play, like Myst or Uru, or even some of the temples in Tomb Raider the Last Revelation. It's obviously its own thing, but the vibes were really enjoyable.
I think an easier to see light beam would help a lot with the puzzles, At some points I was just interacting randomly without knowing what I was doing, lol
The platformer part was a tad difficult but I'm not a big platformer player, so it might just be me sucking at it. However, I didn't get frustrated and got to the ending, so clearly something was done right!
Either way, if you ever do a longer release, I'm definitely interested.
Yes its a bunny with a fluffy tail not to spoil anything more for people that play it, thank you for your feedback, I really appreciate it, thank you also for mentioning controller support, thank you for your support!
