Nice atmosphere! Always happy to see another UE4 using

And one highly personal recommendation, go to your project settings and look for "Create compressed cooked packages", check it to true and it'll reduce your file size by around 50%, cause a 1.8 GB file size might scare some people off

Also make sure you delete all the start content that you arent using cause that can really take up a lot of space

Developer

Thank you for the comment. I found out about the compressing method after uploading to the jam, but I actually just assumed that UE4 wouldn't include all of the content that I hadn't used in the final game. Thanks for the advice :)

Great graphics and atmosphere!  The sounds were really well done.  My little laptop was struggling to keep up as I played so it was laggy for me.  But still had fun playing.  I didn't even know there was a monster or anything else in the game because I never encountered anything while searching for and repairing the boxes.  So for me it was just walking around and repairing boxes and then I won.  Felt kind of cheated.  I was waiting for a jump scare or something and nothing ever happened.  Never saw a gun either.  I was like, "Who are 'they' and who cares if they hear me... apparently this island is deserted."  It wasn't till I read other reviews that I realized there was more to the game than what I experienced.  Maybe alter the game play so the player has more interaction with the monster.  Because I never saw one. Really liked the red "dots" directing me were to go so I didn't wander around aimlessly and quit out of frustration. Overall good job!

Yeah, it seems like a reocurring problem that people don't encounter the monster. I will probably revisit the game at some point. Thanks for the review :)

I went straight forward finding the electrical boxes, very lucky cause I found the gun. The mosnter design is very nice. I kept watching my back if he was behind me. He almsot killed me on the beach. Gave me the forest vibes which I reallly really like. Good job!

Developer

Awesome! Glad to hear you actually encountered the monster :)

I really liked the horroristic ambiance of this game, I managed to finish the game with only 1 "jumpscare".

Overall nice job. (:

@Davideon I really like the texture work it was really good, footsteps and breathing sounds were accurate, one thing I think could be fixed is the reflection of the torch on the gun, overall good job :D

Developer

Thanks! It means a lot :b

Loved the sound design, the player breathing and footsteps were really well done and was addicting to run and walk slower just to hear the different sounds.

I also really enjoyed the environment, I felt very immersed into the world.

Managed to restore all 6 power generators and win. Then I noticed the gun in the screenshots. I jumped back into the game and immediately ran into the enemy which I didn't know existed on my first paythrough.

Developer

I'm glad to hear that you managed to complete the entire game. Congrats!
Meh, that you didn't encounter the enemy before :/
