The game feels pretty much finished, which is great for a 72 hour game. Everything works, looks and feels nicely polished and with 25 levels this tends to a complete game. Every few levels a new feature is introduced, which keeps the game interesting throughout the levels.
I faced two minor inconveniences. The first one being that there were a few levels that were quite big, but had a really easy solution, like level 19. I didn't think it really fitted between 18 and 20, which were more challenging. The second was that my score ranked 11th, but I couldn't see my score. I would have liked to see my score to know how much I needed to improve to get to the leaderboard.
Other than that, it's a nice game and I liked playing it!
Hey. Finally got time to play your game. Here are my thoughts: First off, it's cool that the game starts with introducing the controls. I also liked that you can configure the volume of sound and music. As far as the asthetics go - I really like the map scroll effect. That's looks really cool. Well done! Also good job on getting some details in like particles and so on. As for the gameplay you have designed some good systems to make the game more interesting than it would be without them: A stamina system which prevents the player to cheese through most of the challenges and jumping which adds another layer of depth. The level design is also well done and introduces you gradually to the mechanics.
Some (minor) stuff that could be improved:
An unlock system for the level would work better than letting the player jump to the last level straight way. It was sometimes hard to read the tiles that could be walked on. The "stepping" sound effect should be a lot lower in pitch, the high pitch beeps are getting a bit of annoying after a while.
All in all a really strong entry that has a cool concept and interesting mechanics that make it fun to play :) Good job!
This was cool! I had the same comment as PeaQueueAre about the portals, but other than that, I enjoyed figuring out each level. Some of the puzzle solutions were surprisingly clever!
However, I'm not sure this game would quite work in the streamer competition. Since each level has an optimal solution, there is a maximum theoretical score. This could lead to a tie if more than one streamer figures out the best solution to each level- and someone could cheat by watching other streamers solve the puzzles. It's still a good game in its own right, though.
Really creative puzzle game! The art and music really help give a relaxing feel to the game, which pairs nicely with the climbing puzzles. One small suggestions I'd have is to have some type of indicator for which teleporters are paired, because some of the teleporter levels felt like a lot of trial and error to figure out where each one went. Other than that, the game is really fun! Also, the high score page is excellent :P
This game is great, a lot of attention on details and the puzzles are pretty hard to solve sometimes! Well done!
really nice game, only one little thing i could notice is just how the tiles from time to time "twitch" when the screen is moving and reveal little gaps or lines between them, otherwise fantastic submission.
