I really like how the ball is used as the weapon, it feels fun to launch it into big groups!

Nice game with good SFX and a retro aesthetic! One thing I'd suggest is to make the ball stay with the player when they touch it and allow aiming with the mouse, otherwise it is too difficult to shoot the ball purposefully.

Thanks for playing! That's something I'd like to implement in the future!

I like it! Definitely difficult, but I enjoyed the enemy variety. It is sometimes hard to get a kick in even when the ball is recalled to you!

Game has a lot of potential but for now gameplay is a bit too hard, kicking the ball with LMB is practically useless because trajectory of the ball is unpredictable, hitting those demons is just a bit too difficult. Leaderboard don't seem to work as intended.

There is only ball from the theme, theme is not used well.

Font is out of place, style is not coherent, mixed pixel sizes are the worst, ball and magma have one pixel size and playable character has double pixel size, some mobs have even bigger pixel size. lastly, magma background has too much contrast, it's a bit painful to look at.

I liked the music, I really felt like I'm in the battle.

Conclusion:

Redraw all the assets in one pixel size, make less contrasty background and replace the font, game will look miles better, trust me

Thanks for playing and thanks for the in-depth review! In hindsight I think I was aiming for a concept that a bit too big in scope for a solo dev, especially in such a short time window. It was difficult to try and juggle everything at once and presentation was one of the aspects that I barely finished on time haha. Though I'm glad my choice in music fits the scenario.
