Oooh. The animations and sfx really make the digging satisfying. I wish the map was live and showed where you were in relation to stuff. I felt like I was mindlessly walking around but the diggin kept me going!

Please remember to add arrow keys for movement, not just WASD.

I really like the animation and sound effect when you find a piece, as well as the smooth animation of the digging and the shadow on the spade.

That dig area is massive! It would have been helpful to have little dig marks/holes that stay behind so that you know where you've been, although maybe it doesn't matter because [SPOILER] you get a piece every time you dig up a terracotta ball. I ended up digging up enough pieces for about six amphora and just didn't know what to do at that point. I tried digging up other colours and I ran around all over the map but I was at a loss (I later realised I missed an area, because the map is so big, that might have given me a small clue that something was up - but also maybe not; there's no way for me to know now). I was about to quit when I suddenly realised where the hint was, and that led me to [...] and the end.

The second part of the game is really fun because I was having a real puzzle and discovery experience (finding "info" and figuring out what it meant) but I doubt a lot of people will get there (maybe now that they've read my comment) because there is no indication that you should be looking for a hint so it feels as if the amphora is the end, even though your game page says it isn't, and then you're left in limbo, because lots of jam games end in that sort of abrupt way so there's no way to know that this isn't that kind of jam game and you actually did put an ending in.

So that would be my biggest fix suggestion - figure out a way to give people an in-game indication that they need to be looking for a hint without specifically telling them they need to be looking for a hint.

Yes I agree, that is the huge flaw, especially in a jam game I think most ppl (myself included) would just assume that it was unfinished and that that was all there was to it.  It was actually even more obscure just before I submitted, I made some last minute changes to try to make it clearer.  First time trying a puzzle-type game, so I learnt a lot making this :)

Heh, like others I found the digging sound really satisfying.

It's a nice feeling to get that first piece and see the hydria? building up. I wondered around digging for more after filling the pot but couldn't find anything else.

The completed pot is actually a clue that leads you to the next section of the game.  So far I don't think anyone that's played the game has realized this, so it definitely isn't clear enough!

The sound design is good. Perhaps adding a win screen could be beneficial. I spent a while trying to figure out what I was doing wrong.

Quite fun tho.
