I just noticed Itch does not give notifications of community posts by default, so in case you missed it, your feedback is here! https://itch.io/jam/rpg-maker-rtp-only-beginner-jam/topic/2554637/submission-fee...

It's a fun idea mostly held back by the map design, lack of interactable objects, and a really basic understanding of the engine. It has a lot of room to improve but definitely COULD improve. For example you don't want things like open doors to be places you can't enter, and you want walkable map edges to lead to other areas (or to obstruct those map edges.) Not adding descriptive or talk events on random objects in the scenery makes the game feel a lot less alive than it could be and making the inn npc's dialogue activate when you step in front of them instead of making it an interact on the counter (or just making sure the counter can be interacted over) is really rough.

Small things like this can build up to make your game a lot more lively and memorable basically.

Thank you for giving feedback on my first game! I'm glad you had fun.

I've gotten good feedback about the story so I will continue this project. This was meant to be the first chapter to the game and chance for me to learn RPG maker. I like your feedback and some other people game me this feedback. I will definitely take this to account. I planned to do more but the "weekend" time frame for this jam kept the crunch on.

This jam was really useful for me because I got familiar with how RPG Maker works. I learned a lot.

Hell yeah, I'm glad to see you're sticking with it.

I took the blue potion :D

I like your story so far, it seems like it would be fun to write. It allows you to get away with a lot of meta jokes!

A lot of the issues I saw really just come down to getting more practice with RPG Maker, so I hope you continue with this project!

Thank you for the feedback and encouragement ! I will definitely continue.

Hi. I liked the plot of this game and look forward to seeing the finished version. Wanted to let you know about some bugs since it looks like there are still a few days before the deadline.

When you leave town, the background wind never stops, no matter what area you are in. There's also a hole in the ground at the top left corner of the map that just sends you back to town. I found it handy to get to the inn quicker, but I figure that was not supposed to be the hole's main purpose :)

Thank you for your feedback and comment! I will check out that wind and release another version.

Fixed! And I found that hole that sends you back to town too. That's fixed. There is another location there.

That great! Glad you were able to fix those before the deadline.
