A really cute game with cute visuals and cute soundtrack! Although it could be my laptop lagging but I tried to talk to the beekeeper when an "!" came above his head but nothing happened...

Developer

Did you click on his body? I didn't get enough time to expand his hitbox :'D I'm glad you liked the game, thanks for playing it!

Yeah I did. I even waited for him to go near the beehive but still nothing, probably just the lag...

Hello! This game is unBEElivable. A Cozy Bee Roguelike game? What? But the concept works surprisingly well. The game is super engaging, and the main gameplay mechanic is very fun. I really like that you have a way to choose your build and which flowers to take to improve your future days.

I played both the jam and the stable version, even if after the 30/40 days it started lagging hard. I'll give my feedback on some parts: the flower that gives point in exchange for nectar is very broken, since with the price of 1 nectar you gain many more thanks to the spare jumps. Maybe it should cost more? Even percentage based?
Also, I can't return back if I have 5 jumps left (or even 6).

Though, this game is pretty addicting, I would definitely play more if there will even be an expanded version. If you're interested, here's the VOD:

Thank you for the stream and thorough review! I agree with all your points, I'm already planning more fixes and balances :D

Nice cozy atmosphere, the controls are intuitive and responsive enough, and the shop also provides for some interesting variation in optimal strategy.

Some comments:

  • It may be warranted to have a warning if you return home without enough pollen. I lost all progress in a single careless click...
  • On my second run, I encountered a game-breaking bug after selecting a flower. New flowers kept on blooming ad infinitum and eventually I had to close the app:

Thanks for the feedback! I'm glad you enjoyed it. As for the bug, did you by any chance click the back-to-title button then went right back in? I had a brain fart finishing the game late at night and that breaks the flower spawn for some reason 😅

As a matter of fact, I did! So I guess we can now declare that a known issue that players should be careful about!

Thank you for the confirmation! I'll add it to the description. Late night jam coding is always a slippery slope hahaha

Love the art style and the music!! I did get confused a couple of times on how the the garden worked just because the tutorial gave a lot of information really quickly. Once I got the hang of it I really liked the cozy vibes

I love the pixel garden and all then I bought so many flowers I just had to RNG the pollen goals. The future pollen flower confused me bc it charged my next day pollen scores(?) so I lost a couple games until I got the hang of it. Very cute and I bought so many of everything I couldn't fit all the nectar upgrades in my inventory and my nectar capped at 99.
