Super cool concept and good execution, I dont think I've ever played a game that utilizes the layout of the keyboard as much as this did, I had to constantly look down at my keyboard to see where to go, felt like I didn't just play on the pc but also on the keyboard like a boardgame.

Challenging and fun, I only had a single problem and that is a bug where the game simply just stopped working, I had zero health but it didn't boot me back to the main menu; no idea what happened, just had to refresh and it worked fine again.

I also loved the piano notes whenever you move, good touch!
Really cool game!

Thanks so much for the feedback! I'm glad you enjoyed the musical component.

Super awesome/original idea! I think elements such as health drops, damage buffs, or bombs/AOEs (whether they're dropped by enemies or randomly placed on the keyboard) would lead to much more interesting decision making. Right now the decision tree is pretty simple.

Developer

Yes, it's funny you mention bombs/AOE. We're in the process of developing this further, and that's one of the first things we brought up.

Thanks for playing!

Very clever idea :) I got a little addicted to this in part cause I liked listening to the little tune I was making as I played ;p
Great entry!

Thanks so much! I'm glad to hear you enjoyed exactly what I was going for with the sound design : )

I like it. It's super clear how to play and what things do. The piano notes are nice.

I really liked how you controlled the character with the keyboard. the music and art were also quite nice. Great Job!

Very fun and cute, had a couple impossible endings but thats okay. I wonder if you had made each keyboard row  higher by a note or two, the game would almost be beautifully musical the whole way through. Anyway glad I played!

Got to floor 8, where i had no way out from the spiders. All in all a cute fun game with very satisfying sounds and controls. Really nice job!

Developer

I'm happy you liked the sounds! Thanks for playing.

Note to others: You may need to fullscreen to see the Play button!

This is a super cute little game! I love the idea of using the keyboard as a battlefield and it's a great twist on grid-based combat. The musical keys are a fantastic little touch, and the sprites are simple yet cute and effective. 10/10 would type again.

Developer

Thank you for the great feedback! I'm happy you liked the musical element : )

We've since fixed the small UI issue
