How did you incorprorate the theme?
The Protagonist is a pawn. Instead of following orders The Pawn diverges to it's own rhythm and Kills the king.

Very cool concept!
The rhythm was sometimes a bit confusing to follow, but overall it was pretty nice. I like how you reinterpreted chess into a rhythm game and incorporated the theme.
Maybe you could have made the game a bit less harsh by incorporating lives, since you immediately die if just one enemy manages to get to you.
In any case, good job!

Moving on the beat with visuals playing in the background was something that got me hooked for a bit.
Would be nice to focus expand on that movement logic with the rhythm.
Cheers on making a interesting game, Nice Work!
What a unique experience! I love the rhythm of the game, at first it was hard for me even after noticing the rhythm indicator at the top right, but after a couple of games I got the hang of it. I won’t lie to you, I’m terrible at playing the game, but I still found it very fun, congratulations!!
The board animation is a bit dizzying, but it is a good reinterpretation of chess.
Fun concept around chess pieces. Unfortunately, the beat doesn’t match up with the music which makes the game less fun to play.
Very interesting idea! I included it in my Rhythm Jam compilation video series, if you’d like to check it out!
Interesting concept, but I had trouble with it.
I never really figured out what the timing was supposed to be. The sound effects confused me, and the animation of the squares on the chess was a bit jarring.
It didn't seem like it was possible to dodge the projectiles from one enemy (queen?) without moving faster than the rhythm allows.
I did think the way the rook moved was really neat. When it first came on screen I was like "woah, I see the idea now!"
