This is probably the second or third game I've played made with PICO-8, and I have to say, I'm very impressed and am sold on trying that software some time to make a game. This was definitely a lot of fun, challenging, but not over frustrating for me.

I was able to beat it the first time through without any game overs. I was definitely compelled to try to finish the game without stopping, just like the last game I played, luckily it wasn't endless with the levels, it was just the right amount! It also felt like the difficulty kind of went up and down throughout the game, as opposed to just increasing consistently level by level. I liked that honestly.

What I liked:

*Fun gameplay. The game had challenging and entertaining level design.

*Decent graphics.

*Decent incorporation of theme.

*The game had a soundtrack and sound effects.

What I did not like:

*The jumping in the game felt unpolished. The jumping movement was very unrealistic.

*The soundtrack is kind of repetitive in a bad way.

*There should be health power-ups so that the player can recover lost lives. In this way, the game could be less frustrating.

*I do not like the level design of the level shown in the image below. This is because I can not go back to the top once I fall in the bottom unless I lose one of my lives and I had to go back up so that I could activate a button. I think this is unfair.

Wow love the graphics and the music. Brings back memories from my SNES and gameboy playing years!

Cool game, love the aesthetics and the sound design. but i feel like the player character moves and falls to slow, as if he swims in syrup. otherwise great game!
