- Was super fun to jump around. Character art was great. I wish there were more enemies to use the projectiles on. Well done. Music complemented the game wonderfully.
- GDD The intro of the GDD seems good. It is very focused on the character, but I would like to see more of the game mechanics. Good to included minimum viable product! Game The game is interesting, however the intro and the pace to the house could need some love. Also the button for interact and button for jump is the same, which caused "interact jumping" bug. Save functionality is good. I found a bug where I cant move after been at the dad's house. Have to restart the game. Also I found out that I can moved while I am during cutscene which messed up the cutscene itself. It only works during small moments when dialogue is not happening.

this is a spin off sequel to Temporal Light Jem of Twilight in which Crystal goes crazy and kills off a good majority of the cast.
this game you are controlling the humanoid phoenix Peryil Burnfeather daughter to ember and Cedric Burnfeather. as she investigates her father's death. this game starts as a pure platformer but in order to gain safe access to some areas magical potions and berries are used to transform Peryil into different races that have immunities or are better fitted into the environment. as a example by default peryil has a very high jump and the ability to fly efficiently but takes damage at a rate of 1hp per second where the first transformation she obtains gives her a much larger immunity of 1hp per 5 minutes as well as a faster walk/run speed underwater. but she loses a lot of jumping power.

This is an interesting game with a cool retro feeling.
There are some issues that could be fixed, the main one being that I have no idea what to do. Some sort of a direction to the objective would be nice, especially for people like me who skip dialogues.
The game controls are a little floaty. One bug(?) that made movement actually more enjoyable is that your jump is not limited, you can jump in the air however many times you like.
The music at the start has a very grading white noise that hurts my ears. Also, please change color palette on your itch page, bright red and pink backgrounds are hard on the eyes.
Overall, nice job!
the infinite jump is a feature not a bug as normally gb studio does not allow this. I had to manually override it. internally I called it the flight system. as the character is a phoenix after all. as for the music I will look into this to try to lower the db. is there any song in particular for me to look at. there is a download for the whole soundtrack the ,uge file is the filetype the engine uses and what built the mp3 and wav files.
I recently updated the game to have volume control. as well as remixing the noise channel down an octave. (some had more than one)
I also added a pause screen which allows you to change the settings above as well as view Peryil's status and view a map of the level
in the volume control I also added the ability to switch between the jam version of the music and the new remixed version.
I also facepalmed on one of the level music I had accidentally left one instrument channel completely muted in the jam version. (Level 3's theme. wave channel)
Nice little gameboy game you've put together! I can tell you've got a whole world for these characters.
Can't really play due to the keys in the game. Good concept of using game pad style but If I play a video game on the website I usually like to use common keyboard controls.
which common keyboard controls are not used. the only reason why I can't do rebindable keys is because that is a limitation of the engine.
